Lou might be forced to sign a d man like that if Dumbeor is still around. You know he's gonna sit Gelinas.
My biggest fear of Fayne walking is that we keep the Kremlin Kone around, so we don't have to go with 2 rookie defensemen.
Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said he is “absolutely not” concerned about Larsson’s development at this point.
When I asked him about the team’s young players – Larsson, Jacob Josefson (making his season debut tonight), Mattias Tedenby – seemingly having to wait their turn at times, Lamoriello replied, “Their time will come.”
“I certainly agree and support the lineup,” he said. “Sometimes young people have to have patience. My expression will always be the same: It’s better too late than too soon.”

“There’s always a fine line, but that’s a judgment that you make and it has a lot to do with the personality of the individual,” Lamoriello said. “It has to do with the communication and all of that is in a positive light. We don’t ever want them to accept and be happy that they’re not playing, but as long as they understand (why) because we’re here to win and unfortunately along the way sometimes there’s a little disappointment and that’s normal. That’s natural.” Lamoriello said during training camp that it’s his job to create an opening on the NHL team’s roster when a young player is ready to play in the NHL. “I’m still of that philosophy,” he said. “That will always transpire.” He’s not at that point yet this season, though. “Not at four games into a season,” he said. - See more at: http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/...neup_tonight_in_calgary/#sthash.6HV6YWSG.dpuf

If Lou really has a problem with how Pete is handling things he wouldn't have gone out, at length to talk him and his choices up. This is Mr. Status Quo we are talking about. If he didn't want to say anything because it isn't true...he would have.
For all we know, Lou hates the roster choices Deboer is making.
You still don't say that to the media. Why create a public controversy that can be kept in private?
he has no one to blame but himself for that.Wow....Lou...just...wow. Really, Lou? Really?
I'm sure you won't be singing the same tune if you had to give up a high draft pick in the end....
EDIT : But Devilchuk and Sarge do bring up good points. This is all Lou-Speak and everything is Status-Quo...PUBLICALLY.
PRIVATELY, though...Lou must be STEAMING mad right now with Pete.

Dig up Lou quotes up until mid-December 2010 and you'll see the same BS. He'll never give the press even a sliver of what's going on in his mind.
Very doubtful. The season is 4 games old. Lou has patience, one of the reasons for the success he's had in his GM career.

I give Pete until Christmas....if we are under .500 and still blowing 3 goal leads in the 3rd then Lou will be behind the bench again
Have fun! Hope you get to see a win!I'm pretty excited about the game tonight. It's not very often I get to see my favorite team play. Maybe last time I see Marty live. I hope he has a great game.
Lou's also the same person that said we would have a young defenseman in the lineup and that isn't the case, at least not at the start of the season.
