Honestly after the ten years of amazing hockey capped off with B2B cups, bowing out of the playoffs won’t hurt quite as much as it would have in years prior this core has accomplished a lot and this series has been pretty good. Either way I am good, Good Luck Leafs fans.

I don't think losing in 6 games to the Leafs can be called a big win. But it is fine that you do.

Doesn't seem right that Quebec has only one team, but Phoenix to Houston would be more likely. 4th largest metro in the US and a natural rivalry with Dallas all ready to go.

Otherwise an Eastern Conference team would have to be moved into the Western. The logical candidates, Detroit and Columbus are both relatively recent refugees from the West, so that seems unlikely. Bet on the status quo for the foreseeable future.

Back on topic ... My antipathy to Toronto is exceeded by my desire to see someone new hoist the Cup. Go Leafs (gag!).

At this point even ardent Leafs haters have to have some sympathy deep down. They haven’t won a championship in over half a century and in recent years are most iconic for heart-breaking 7 game round one collapses… every damn year.

It is like how I view the Knicks in basketball: It was fun to laugh at their failure, and it is insufferable how much attention they get by the media despite their enduring awfulness, but they have been so terrible for so long, I can’t help but root for them a little bit. Dolan will always be a jerk though (and now I am banned from MSG).

Yeah, I think with their backs against the wall, Tampa puts in a full 60 minutes and wins it. Blowout might be a bit much though.

Leafs came out flat in games 4 and 5. They need to not do that tonight. Tampa should be flying off the faceoff and the Leafs need to match intensity early.
