Matt Murray is definitely no easy out, lately. Probably a bit of a trap game if I'm being honest.

But no Malkin so they have a chance. Right?

I'm constantly told that the Sully way regarding response and grit is the best way forward for the Pens; but actual players seem to have a different opinion.

Tk doesn’t even say the Pens should have done something in the moment to Marchand, just that they should be getting back at him later…and that’s right…the star players were the ones on the ice and it occurred at the end of the game and Letang had just tried to go after him but the refs held him back and escorted Marchand away, so where was there any time or ability to go after him…payback is coming the next game against Boston, as it should, and I don’t get the comments from some people that the Pens entire team should have gone ballistic and attacked him while the refs controlled everything

The current roster doesn't have the capability to respond, that is the argument that some of us are making. I have stated on many occasions, the only guys that truly stand up for their teammates are their most talented players. Sully doesn't think that matters, a lot of people agree with him. I vehemently disagree and predict that the Pens are going to going to once again wilt under similar pressures applied against them come playoffs.

Yes, the Pens should do exactly what a guy who washed out of the league while he was still in his 20's thinks.

Did someone get Michel Ouellet or Erik Christensen's opinion on this crisis?

And that has NOTHING to do with the point that he made.

What was his point?

I’m also curious how his welcome to the NHL came with a player drafted 2 years after his first game.

I’d rather this team be built in the archetype of Detroit who he cites as a team he could run around against that was in two Finals and beat TK in one of them then Philly who we spanked during all of TK’s time here outside of the year we had a bunch of enforcers in 2012.

This isn’t pointed at anyone in-particular, but I am so tired of the disrespect on these boards. His title is Head Coach Mike Sullivan. Not Sully. Not Mike. Not Mike Sullivan. Show some respect.

I was about to address this but I didn't feel it was my right to speak out of turn as a non STH.

I myself salute when I deign to mention his name out loud.

someone on the roster will respond in April against the Bs, whether it be ZAR or Boyle…you need to be a designated tough guy to respond but the Pens will…responding to provocation or failing to do so is not why they won or,lost the last three P Os….failing to win board battles or fight thru imterference has nothing to do with responding to Marchand type incident…they might wilt in POs but it won’t have anything to do with that

That's mighty presumptuous of you. How do you know we're not talking about Sully, the loveable blue monster from Disney's "Monster, Inc." and his pal Mike Wazowski?

No offense to TK but he's probably not the best guy to have an opinion on that. It wasn't like he was even going around and "doing what he wanted" anyway.

He's 100x's the hockey player I ever was but C'mon bro....it's TK, My man should worry more about his haircut and that glob of spit on his lip

TK was responsible for the league mandating more protective team logos on goalie jerseys, so that does give him some right to speak out on player safety issues.

I have zero respect for Sully; I think he's a ruse and has a BFF in a position of very high power within the organization. He cut the legs off of JR and the organization eventually sided with him over JR.

It may take a while, as it usually does, but the majority of this board will become very disrespectful to Sully in the coming future..... bet on it.

This is neither here nor there but I've run into TK in the local Cranberry Twp rinks and I was never more sure that the NHL sometimes pumps up their player measures because he was listed as being about 5'11 and ain't no way man.
