Neuvirth seems to have an advantage over some goalies of the past. A 32-66 record historically is within itself an exceedingly terrible record.

The NHL should adopt IIHF rules. Would have been more entertaining to watch Datsyuk vs. Giroux three times. ;)

This seems like a different team compared to earlier in the season and last year. Hoping the change comes with beating teams who are worse than us

Tbh if I was told we would lose once in regulation in the next 4 games and could pick which game to lose I would choose that Toronto one!

It is the least important game of the next 4.

Though ofc winning all four would be nice!

how many games did we lose to teams like Toronto the last 2 years.
wouldnt shock me if they lose to Toronto then win the next 3

Yeah, the 3 games after Toronto are critical. It would be nice to pick up points against Toronto since they're the "easy" win, but it's more important to get ahead of Boston and Pitt. NYI are still within reach too.

The games against Pittsburgh are looking the most important right now. Islanders and Rangers are far enough ahead where getting past them is a bit hopeful and far back in priorities. Montreal just keeps on sliding down and we have a pretty big games played advantage over them. The only two teams to worry about between us and them are NJ and Pittsburgh. We've already played some games against NJ, but more importantly they have less points than Pittsburgh and we have three games in hand (and are one point back) on them. They're also injured and weaker on paper.

Pittsburgh we have all of our games left with and only one game in hand on. They're the team that's going to make or break the playoffs for use assuming Montreal/NJ/Pittsburgh/us all keep heading in the trajectory we've been going at.

We're now one road win away from matching last years total wins on the road. Please let it sink exactly how bad the Flyers were on the road last year.

Craig Berube.

When we were away from home he was incapable of line-matching... Hakstol can do what real bench bosses do and get his 1st or 2nd favoured match-up on at least half the time even with 1st change.

Could be why we see the Bellemare line when we dont expect to sometimes..Hakstol could be trying to get favorable match ups for other lines. Whatever hes doing, its working.

that and under Berube they looked like a disjointed team. there was little support with the forwards and defense. now this looks like a team that has structure and they know what the coaching staff expects out of them.
Yeah obviously there is complaints about player usage. But you get that out of even the better coaches in the league.
I dont know if this is a playoff team or not. Hell they may not be, but this is a team that you know is not going to compete every night. something that was missing under Berube.

I think this was Striet best game this year. Always thought he would be a typical Wings tdl pick up.
