Pyatt's biggest asset right now is his board play. The penguins, as something of a transition team, are the last I expected to grab him.

The Blues? Might've been a good fit.

Pyatt doesn't exactly do anything along the boards anyway. He's 6-4. Most of his battles are won by just being there.

But he'll score tonight anyway.

According to the Pens GDT, their first line will be Kunitz-Crosby-Neal.

The good news is, that will allow us to have McDonagh out against all of their good scorers. The bad news is, Girardi will be out there too.

Pens fan here. Pyatt was claimed because a Penguin goes down once a week and we need the bodies. Even our callups are getting injured to replace those other guys injured. This was the only reason we claimed Pyatt.

You need the bodies, and you literally got a body. Doesn't move much, not even sure it breathes.

It will be intresting to see how he plays tonight for sure. Not expecting much tbh, but Bylsma will probably use him a lot thinking he will want revenge or something.

We've already accepted that he's gonna get a goal and two assists, that's just how being a Rangers fan works.

Might as well have fun with him until he does. Just don't expect much after he lights up the Rangers.

I like that fourth line. They have done what they are supposed to do.

Miller is a third line player. So unless he is beating out brassard, or if brassard takes 2c and Richards goes to the bench then miller isn't going to play.

I don't see how Callahan would do anything but help the 4th line with his defensive prowess and energy. He could replace either wing. I'd prefer to keep Dorsett in the lineup.

Did someone really say Moore was the biggest disappointment of the year?

poster, pls.

I meant out of the defensemen. And I believe it. At the end of last season he was looking great like he was poised to breakout and be the best piece in that trade. Now not so much.

And I'm not one of those people that over reacts and sets absurd expectations. I was hoping Moore would solidly slide into the 3rd pair on the left side. And be effective. And possibly on the power play.

However we haven't seen that. We hasn't seen any improvement. He's lost in the defensive zone. The fact that people complain about MDZ non stop yet give Moore a pass bothers me to all hell. He has two things over MDZ. Skating ability and the fact that he's on his elc. MDZ is superior in every other facet of his game. If AV would just have some faith in MDZ and leave him in the lineup and allow him to grow some confidence I'm sure he's begin to play better. But instead he's off, can't get a groove and constantly worrying about being scratched. Just like Kreider with Torts. Except even worse because MDZ isn't a rookie, he's a 40 point nhl defenseman.

Av system is a fast pace system and for this system you need players who can skate well... mdz CANNOT... Moore can which is why he is in the line up...that is the ONLY reason.. not because mdz makes mistakes cuz Moore makes bone head plays to and it's not stats either.it's because more can skate and AV wants players who can make a good counterattack with their skating ability

Fleury is the one goalie in the NHL better in shootouts than Henrik. It's one of the reasons I laud his athletic ability, and think most of his issues are technical and mental.

So if it gets to OT, don't be afraid to press the offensive.

Maybe Rangers will be winning 4-0 and he will score a last minute stupid flukey goal to ruin Hank's shut out.

@Pat Leonard

Hagelin-Richards-Zuccarello
Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Pouliot-Brassard-Callahan
Boyle-DMoore-Dorsett

Sucks that the Miller line got broken up. Those are decent lines on paper though. I mean as good as they could be. If Richards, Stepan, and Nash were the players they were at some point this would be a very good team.

Read somewhere that Crosby hasn't scored against us since October 2010..

Scary if true...

The secondary threats are the guys that sting the rangers.

Semin when he was with the Caps, Malkin with the Pens.

Malkin has a great record vs Henrik, Lundqvist has difficulty with an open Malkin slap shot.

It is possible that the Rangers over-compensate to an opposing star player. Neither Stamkos nor Tavares are great vs NYR either, but guys like MSL and Moulson/Parenteau come up big.

Forget the secondary guys. Now it's just plain scrubs that give us problems.

Janssen assisted by Sestito and Brodeur. - My favorite stat line for a goal so far.
Shawn Thornton, Cal Clutterbuck, just the latest in a long line of Rangers killers.

And Jason Chimera
