Per Brooks article, it looks like the lines are

Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Zuccarello-Richards-Callahan
Hagelin-Brassard-Pouliot
Boyle-Moore-Dorsett

I like this. It goes to the players strengths. Helps out where help is needed. And balances the lines too.

One has a future here and the other does not. Pretty cut and dry.

John Moore has a future here? Dear lord.

If AV wants to win hockey games DZ is the better choice over Moore, in my opinion.

We are on pace for 192 goals this season, despite our best power play in years.

Incidentally, if everything stays as it is, we'll have been in the top 50% in PP twice since the 04-05 lockout, and those will be the only two seasons where we missed the playoffs.

There's your weekly pointless fact courtesy Fitzy.

hmm...interesting (strokes beard)

We have been playing pretty well the last few weeks, and it seems as though we might be turning the corner.

Cue 9-2 Pens victory and Chicken Little entering stage right.

So you're telling me the difference between winning and losing games comes down to MDZ vs. John Moore? hahaha yeah no.

It's obviously not the difference. But DZ is a better player than Moore, so he does give you a better chance to win (not much, but it's there).

Both have been pretty awful this year, but MDZ has been more of a liability.

Indeed. And if we want to trade MDZ it is probably good to play him as well.

Moore is honestly at best a 1-2 year stopgap on the third pairing, so it isn't like he is a core piece that we need to groom. Stick him in the pressbox until MDZ is traded.

Log jam, albeit of second/third line tweeners. Not a bad problem to have. Wonder if a trade will be made, or if Miller is going to be sent back to the AHL for the rest of the season.

I too, would rather see MDZ in then Moore.

They are both terrible, and both have played noticeably worse under AV than Torts. Moore looked pretty good out there, last year, (albeit in a small sample size) and MDZ seemed to settle in a bit under Torts. It seems both are completely lost out there, these days.

I KNOW you're not new here ;)

It's the yo-yo year for Miller whether we like it or not.

Tonight sounds like Hagelin-Richards-Zuccarello, Kreider-Stepan-Nash, Pouliot-Brassard-Callahan, Boyle-DMoore-Dorsett. Same six D. Lundqvist

Boyle-Moore-Dorsett have been extremely solid lately. They deserve a lot of credit.

I agree that DZ is a better short term option but you have to consider the fact that Moore is on an entry level contract and will be far cheaper than DZ going forward. Rangers only have McD and Staal signed for next season. We're stuck with him.

Seeing Pyatt play against us tonight is going to be hilarious. Guarantee he scores…
