Knew he screwed up, and tried, God knows he tried to make up for it.

Absolutely, end this crap already. Why cant EVERYBODY just be thrilled we have BOTH! Teams would DIE for either of those 2 RH offensive weapons that they are. Defensively getting better. Minutes and experience will take care of that.
Well, at least he "tried". And that's all that matters, right?

I'm with you!! Good try Anthony!! Hope he got a nice orange slice (or whatever the team mom brought for snacks) after the game.

He’s really not lol and his speed is pretty damn important when we have guys like Trouba on the backend, Fox isn’t a great skater either.
The one pass he made that got intercepted, he looked like McDavid skating back trying to stop that breakaway, and he cut off his lane to the net partially, Lundqvist should’ve stopped that.
Look, I really like Tony D but this bolded part is the most laughable thing I've read on here on a long time. He made a horrible pass that lead to a breakaway goal against on a 5 on 3 BUT he skated really hard to try and break it up, he didn't but he tried really hard and skated really fast! And the goalie should've stopped the breakaway anyway so it's really not Tony's fault even a little!

That's insane mental gymnastics to try and defend a player. I like Tony D a lot but he had a bad game last night, it happens.

That was the first breakaway I’ve seen Tony cause on a PP this season, Trouba has caused at least 6. And not only is he too slow to get back like Tony, he doesn’t even seem to try. He was literally not taking strides and was GLIDING back, and Buchnevich who’s the winger got back before him to catch the player on the breakaway, in back to back games. Panarin gave a bad no look pass to Tony that he wasn’t expecting and he basically tried redirecting that to Mika. It was a bad pass but so was Panarins that put him in the awkward position receiving it. And look no further than the breakaway before that how painfully slow Trouba was getting back, he actually started gliding before Johnny even shot too. Trouba plays like he doesn’t care.

mistakes happen. he busted it to get back. kinda runs contrary to what the narrative is on tony. you love to see that. too often i see guys coasting or half attempting to get back. trouba ??

i dont remember another error like that hes made recently for sure. he makes risky passes frequently but hes perhaps the 2bd best passer on the team after bread. no worries he makes more WOW plays then he does WTF plays.

i find it funny that he still played over 22 mins. he had two bad giveaways but other wise had a strong game
