I haven't followed the hype build-up, but I'm not aware of any particular red beard thing. Generally speaking Finns believe that being in the audience for international hockey is a permission for carneval-ey masquerade. Haven't seen the people in question, but might be some gang of friends coming up with a theme of their own.

Slavin also dumped the puck in an awful lot and I'm not sure Sullivan likes that.
