That was a good physical game. Suspense ended early in the 3rd which kinda killed the mood unfortunately.

The PP goal to start the third forced the Finns to open up, and that's not their forte.That was a good physical game. Suspense ended early in the 3rd which kinda killed the mood unfortunately.

Wes fixed it up good. USA was bogged down in the Finnish muck. Called some weak ass PPs and the end result is predictable. If Wes is doing the gold medal game I will just lol

Hopefully, but I’m not holding my breath. If Canada loses in regulation that sets up a Sweda US final which would really dull the mood.
The US has some of the most likeable players, led by the Tkachuk brothers, in the game. Then again, I like players like Marchand and Konecny, so there’s that.
Game was decide by Wes on calls really he shouldn't have made .. when guy closer to action does not call it then likely something else happened like C tripping Matty or a USA player losing his balance before going into the boards .. bottom line that was an even steven game decided by PPs
Yea, the Canada game really flourished by the refs only calling the 2 obvious high sticks and then letting them play. A couple of iffy calls really hurt the USA game.
The organizers should take note here.

Not sure who reffed the Sweden game but they were great.

Probably trauma from the all the Leafs playoff games we lost when he was on the ice combined with how hard I cringed when he called that "boarding" penalty last night.
US vs Canada is gonna be an incredible game tomorrow.

I can’t handle watching one Tkachuk brother playing against us. I can’t imagine two. They’re going to come out hard against Canada.

How I see it playing out:
If Canada loses in regulation I think Sweda would beat the US in regulation.
If Canada wins in regulation the US would beat Sweda

I think Matthews does well with one Marner, Hughes, Keller type skill support and a crash and bang type. So far Knies is fulfilling that role quite well. I would also be interested to see him on a line with 2x Valeri Nichushkin type mutants who can fly.

I think it would have been funny if AM played it up like a heel in wrestling, encouraging the boos and waving appreciatively. Still I can't imagine the scenario of Suzuki or Caufield getting booed if they were on Team Canada or Team USA. I mean they're Habs so I automatically don't like them but boo them? Wouldn't get arsed. It's a sign of an inferiority complex. As Don Draper said to the underling "I don't think about you at all"
