When I watch Smith playing regular D, he seems to struggle a lot more with the same plays he does well with on the PK.

You know what that tells me?

The system is a failure..

They aren't remotely the same thing - that would be why.

Trouba and Buch have been bad. Seems like Buch does fine as long as he never receives the puck. Not sure that's what you want out of a top 3 forward.

We can leave Trouba and his bomb. He’s gonna pick up points. Kreider and Buch can be swapped for Kaako and Fox. There’s no law against having two Dmen out there and Fox can play like a forward on the PP.

We have like...maybe almost enough forwards to make two real NHL lines, and then maybe two or three NHL defensemen, and Hank. And then it's not great after that.

So yeah...definitely not a good team.

Quinn has been here for a full season + 2 TC + 2 PS + 4 games in, with the same rookies.

How long does it take to catch on?

I assume you seen how EDM played with their new system?

If you're going to have a 4 forward pp unit, that plays almost the entire pp time, then why the hell would you have Kreider as the guy behind the net in the "office" AND Panarian on the right at the blueline virtually??? He played on the left side in the previous games and previously in his career. Kakko would be more comfortable playing behind the net than Kreider.
