I'm not sure about the etiquette in liking such posts?

Obviously Evangelista and Svechkov will just get shuffled backwards regardless of where the opening lineup slots them, right? We know the drill by now.

I know Trotz is taking a lot of heat for this year, but I am a huge fan of his and have confidence he will turn it around. In fact if I could trade Lou for Trotz as GM I'd do it faster than you could say Marchessault.

That said...I am rooting for you guys big time today (and I will root for you guys once you become a contender again). I want Lou fired ASAP and I pray that Islanders ownership at least steps in and forces him to trade Nelson/Palmieri before the trade deadline - Because he's such stubborn control-freak hockey dictator, he won't...Just because .

You guys are sitting Nyquist to make sure he won't ruin his trade value. Lou out here playing 2 top 10 trade assets because this egotistical fool thinks the 8th worst team in the league (that is all his doing) is a Cup contender. What a joke. Help us.

Not "at least." Lou will NOT retire. He's the NHL's version of Joe Paterno (without the whole Sandusky mess). He's going to work until he can't open his eyes anymore. Thus he's going to have to be forced out.

We might not be extending him, but he could always come back as a UFA.. and considering Trotz' FA strategy, that's actually a pretty likely scenario.

Thanks for stopping by. Trotz is a good coach, but he's a terrible GM. Something tells me that the Islanders would not be well served by replacing a "control freak" with a GM who's little more than a water boy for the head coach.

PS: We're not going to catch the Islanders and give them a better draft position at this point. We just have too many AHL guys rounding out the roster to be competitive.

Well I'd definitely take back Trotz as coach. That said hard to believe that Trotz won figure out the GM thing. I mean who would disagree with adding Stamkos and Marchessault to the roster last offseason? I understand they're near the end of their careers, but they are still producing and their intangibles are elite.

If the coach sucks and he won't fire him that's another story, but this Predators roster is more talented than their results this year.

I don't care about the Islanders "catching" the Preds in terms of the draft. I just want it clear to Lou/ownership this team is an embarrassment, won't make the playoffs (which is obvious already to anyone with common sense), and thus should be trading any/all pending UFAs stat.
