Staal is quite easily the worst player on the ice nearly every game.

There's not one single part of his game that is not deficient. If he had one thing left, it was physicality, but even that is gone. He is getting manhandled every time out there.

I'm one of Buch's biggest fans but he cannot drive play to save his own life. No way he should be getting this much ice time, Kakko or Kreider (I know its his off wing but its still worth a shot) should be in that spot.

it’s early in the year, by april they wont even call penalties. same as the nfl

Buch won’t be there very long. It’s only the fourth game.

Who else would you put in the 2C spot? Strome being there is more a reflection of our putrid center depth then Quinn’s decision making.

Chytil and Kravtsov deserved to go down a bit. Chytil should be back soon.

No. Being on the PK vs off the PK. It is why Dan Girardi, even at his absolute worst was still marginally effective as a PKer. It has more to do with positioning and rotation.

When I watch Smith playing regular D, he seems to struggle a lot more with the same plays he does well with on the PK.

Could be. I don’t exactly expect Quinn to be the long term guy, and I expect the team to suck this year regardless, so I’m not all that mad about it
