Considering the difference in where the 2 teams are expected to be this season we really haven't looked too bad. It's just stupid mistakes that prove costly and a lack of top level offensive talent

Still think that was a horrible shot by kreider if he wanted to end his shift just dump it in
It was a horrible play. For somebody so fast, he stops skating and then winds up. Tired? Maybe, but come on. Remember when Kreider had speed? It'd be nice for him to show it.

I'm getting tired of hearing this or that player "got caught" .
If you're playing in the tight 5 man formation that Quinn is looking to play then there has to be a rotation.
If ADA goes in deep, a fwd needs to get back and cover his position.
Players need to recognize and shift.
It's not rocket science..
The real problem with that play is kreider is tired and lazy at the end of a shift and takes a shot for a rebound to no one. He got a great outlet and I think everyone on the ice expected him to drive the net or hold for help. He did neither. Shot and skated to the bench

I think they've actually been really good in the offensive zone, especially Chytil's line. The Rangers have set up some prime scoring opportunities, but they haven't executed. Hank's saving their butts tonight in the defensive zone.

Compared to other teams and how much composure they show with the puck in a scoring chance, we look like apes with sticks.

Don't mean to derail thread but was Howden considered a strong skater as a prospect? He looks deceivingly quick

Like a lot of taller players, he can be a little deceptive because he covers a lot of ground.

He’s also very good at maintaining speed without constantly having to churn, using his momentum efficiently.

That’s an Underhill trait.

FC doing good job in front of the net there. Like mentioned before the rooks/younger players outplaying the vets by a large margin right now and for all intensive purposes thats fine.

While I agree on Kreider, I believe the culprit is Zib.
This happens every single time he's in the ice and it's his job as center to get your ass back on the play..

Pretty disappointing. He was clearly being looked to as a guy who would be a leader on this team but he looks like a guy who knows his days are numbered and he's just biding his time.

the trade rumors last deadline was what broke him. His heart has already moved on in some ways. The "A" on his sweater is just a matter of seniority and appearances. Shattenkirk is a Ranger at heart and is far more committed to this near future of this franchise and yet, he's the one without an A. This season is a lot of confusing stuff.
