we could easily have 4 or 5 goals with very slight tweaks

helps san jose is completely sleepwalking

We never finish our chances. Every night the MSG crew says "OH BOY, we could be in a 5-1 game here but we're getting some great goaltending."

Have watched a fair amount of other hockey to start this season and there seems to be a real emphasis around the league to not give up the puck that doesn't seem as prevalent with the Rangers. Whether its holding into the puck in the D-zone until there's a pass option rather than throwing it down the ice, or not taking shots like Kreider's when its not a good scoring chance, we just don't seem to value puck possession like other teams do...

I mean, there are like maybe three 20-goal scorers on this roster so...

you forget the two barely missed tap ins on rushes in the 1st? one deflected a little away, the other Names just missed on

If this is how he looks as a “raw” player, holy ****.

One of the things I try to really focus on is how a young player adapts and evolves. It’s not just enough to be skilled.

Howden is a kid who demonstrated what I like to see. Chytil has done that as well. Kravtsov is doing that now, as is Keane.

No other prospects in the organization have demonstrated that ability to quite the extent of those 4. Not to say they are doing anything wrong, or performing badly. But those 4 have caught my attention the most over the last year.

I'm getting tired of hearing this or that player "got caught" .
If you're playing in the tight 5 man formation that Quinn is looking to play then there has to be a rotation.
If ADA goes in deep, a fwd needs to get back and cover his position.
Players need to recognize and shift.
It's not rocket science..

Don't mean to derail thread but was Howden considered a strong skater as a prospect? He looks deceivingly quick
