The Rangers are better than this. So far it's been three games and one period, and it obviously gets magnified because it's the start of the season. I bet if this two game stretch were tucked in somewhere in February, people wouldn't be making as big of a deal about this. They'll start playing better at some point, whether it's next period or four games from now. The 11/12 Rangers started 0-1-2. The 2013 Washington Capitals started 2-8-1 last season, and that was a 48-game schedule. This is disappointing to watch, but realize that we're dealing with a small sample size here.

The 11-12 Rangers did not come close to looking this bad off the bat, results aside. And the Rangers don't have an Ovie to get white hot down the stretch.

It IS a small sample size. But the glimmers of hope have been few and far between.

11-12 Rangers looked absolutely horrible for the first 9 games where we took an extremely large number of penalties and had minimal offense.

I wish we had someone like Lucic. That assaults opposing players when losing, and gets his team on the PK, and kicked out of the game!

I do too and no I'm not being sarcastic! If you don't see the value in having a player like that, especially on this team of sissies then I don't know what to tell you other than I'm sorry you feel that way!

Luckily my remote control is broke, so i'm stuck on the Giants game until it's over.

Then I'll hit the up button 60 times and join in the misery. :D

They didn't look this bad and they didn't lose the way they are losing now. There's a difference.

Leafs fan, coming in peace...

I have to ask, what is going on with this team? Just following the out of town scoreboard on NHL.com and see that the shots are 17-3 after the 1st? Especially after the Sharks blowout. The **** is happening?

It's not the losing, its the way they are losing. They are a complete mess and being badly outclassed. I totally expected a 1-3 start, given the schedule. I didn't expect them to roll over and die 3 games in on a new coach.

No Rangers team has looked this lifeless in years. This is something entirely different than having a bad record or looking "horrible". This is fundamentally repulsive. This is, "I forgot how to play hockey AND I don't actually care about remembering how either" bad.

Through preseason and 4 games so far this season I've learned to relish the first 5 minutes of a Rangers game when it's 0-0 and hope is still at large.

I mean I can see going 2-8 at the start of a season learning a new system blah blah blah, but getting completely manhandled over and over is a bit worrisome to say the least. It's not like these 20 men just met each other yesterday at the local skating rink.

Joel and Henrik are definitely trolling NYR fans and switching identities for this week, that's my theory.

Must be April in Sweeden :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
Doubt it Joel is completely useless for Frölunda and has been for awhile. Looks like most of the guys from his team tbo, slow and always three steps behind everyone else.
