I just posted this in another thread, but the effort was there in 11-12 when they started out slow. They couldn't score, but the defense and Lundqvist were solid. They weren't getting blown out, they lost games 3-2 and 2-1. This team doesn't look remotely close to how the 11-12 team played other than the fact that they can't score.

11-12 Rangers looked absolutely horrible for the first 9 games where we took an extremely large number of penalties and had minimal offense.

This is 100x worse.

Lucic, or a Chris Neil-type player. There is a reason why Neil wears an "A" in Ottawa.

I have to ask, what is going on with this team? Just following the out of town scoreboard on NHL.com and see that the shots are 17-3 after the 1st? Especially after the Sharks blowout. The **** is happening?

Completely. For years we complained about the offense. That was always the issue. Occasional lulls in effort/inability to finish a full 60 minute grind out win, but the defense, goaltending and effort was there.

Now nothing is there.



AND, Lundqvist is CLEARLY fed up with that play.
