What's funny. The Rangers were complete and utter dog **** in that period, getting outshot 17-3 and still it should have been 1-0 if not for our savior HOF elite God of a goalie. Lundqvist blows chunks now. Awful, mentally weak POS.

Ha ha ha. Sure thing mate. I know you're loving this. You've criticized Lundqvist during his Vezina winning season, last year during the playoffs, and everything in between.

We know you don't think he is a top goaltender in the league. You don't always have to spew your hate towards him. You realize that stud in LA isn't doing well either. But their team is doing better because they're actually a team.

done with this patience I have had thus far...yelling at the tv now...

intermission (thank god)...

FIND YOUR LEGS, FIND YOUR SPIRIT, FIND YOUR GAME, PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF WHEREVER THEY ARE HIDDEN AND PUT 'EM BACK ON STRAIGHT! THIS IS NOT THE WAY THE NEW YORK RANGERS PLAY! THEY PLAY ALL OUT EVERY GAME!

What is standing out to me is a team the looks vaguely familiar to the team that played the first few games against the Bruins in the playoffs last season. They got a boost by sitting Asham and bringing up Haley. I hop Sather is on the phone and moving Asham, Pyatt, and Boyle out and bringing up some more youth. I'm tired of this horrible play!

WOW...AV is mad, wouldn't let Girardi do the intermission interview...GOOD! ROLL HEADS IN THE LOCKER ROOM!!!!

Fire AV. We're down 3-0 and he is simply standing there, chewing away.

If Tort's Rangers ever played like this, he's bagskate them into the ****ing ground.

Why the **** did we trade for a bunch of losers from
Columbus with losing mentalities that have only ever known losing? Then we go and hire their former loser coach to be on our bench too! What a joke!

you know i'll never understand the thinking behind that move.
And then i heard that he was behind the bench at war with Brassard years ago...

great fresh start?

Alright, listen. I'm not trying to create a narrative that isn't there but I can't stop asking myself this question, so I'll pose it to you guys:

Last year there were a lot of times where we hated the effort from our guys. We accused them of being listless and lifeless, but it was NEVER this bad. We thought Torts had lost the team, and we blamed his system and ever looming threats of benchings/being moved down the lineup for draining the life and enthusiasm out of the team. Not many were surprised when Torts was canned, and we later found out that the team had basically mutinied and gone behind Torts to try and get rid of him. So they GET their wish and now, in back to back games, in which they are averaging three goals against PER PERIOD, they are laying down like depressed, lifeless, heartless dogs. I don't get it. Does this not look like a team that has internal strife? Watching this team, I keep thinking that AV has been the coach for a long time and has lost the team and that this lifelessness is their response. Does it not look that way? I'm not saying that's what it is. I'm saying, I'm completely baffled and confused because of how it looks. This team looks like they all share the same mom, and they just found out she has a week to live. They look like they all just heard their dog died. Everyone of them just got dumped or is going through a divorce. I just don't get it. How can a team that BEGGED for a new coach and got exactly what they wanted TRY SO LITTLE? I'm at a loss.

At least we have our 1st this year amirite?

del zotto has been our worst player...maybe its time to trade him.

McD, J. Moore, Lundqvist (never thought I'd say that), Stepan and Callahan have all been MUCH worse. MDZ actually had our only good chance of the period. That's okay though. I get that he could be playing shut-down D and have a double hat trick and you would say the same thing. :shakehead

Because the defensive breakdowns are his fault?

No, but he should have made 2 of those saves. Especially that 3rd one that put the game out of reach. It's embarrassing that he lay down like the rest of those dogs. He's considered an elite, premier player. The team looked worse than him and he made some great saves, but 2 of the goals shouldn't go in. You want your elite goalie to friggin save the day at least a little.

Seriously, we were one win away from the SCF, we build an identity and a tight knit team and then blow it up it! We needed minor tweeks and a lil more scoring. This stupid franchise just can't help itself, always gotta have that big ticket UFA or trade chip just because!

It's not just you. Honestly, this sort of hockey resembles the crap we watched during the Dark Ages of 97-04. It goes beyond the coach... I think the players have to shoulder a LOT of blame for the way they have played.
