Lafreniere in overtime

The lines were fine this was a stupid loss

Smith in for JJ it’s not hard
Seriously. JJ was the worst player on the ice. Swap Smith in for him and even if Smith is average it seriously eliminates the easily fixed problem.

JJ being a permanent staple despite not deserving it and being objectively bad is not right. Just because Martin wants it? That’s not a good enough reason the dude SUCKS.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but we may have already seen career years from Panarin and Zibanejad.

No doubt.

They'll still be within 85-90% of the years they had last year for a bit though. Panarin's still fighting it a bit, but he's also stapled next to Strome.

Mika didn't look right at all tonight.

By my count, I'd say Strome is currently playing like our 4C. I'd have Fil and Howdy with more minutes than Strome at this moment.

I could’ve lived the rest of my dying days without seeing Ryan Strome play for this hockey team ever again. He legitimately has no place in this lineup that wouldn’t be made worse by his presence.

Jack Johnson...I...I just...why not keep Staal for the last year of his contract and save a draft pick and my eyes?

Not losing sleep over this game, Pens were only in it because of two fluke ass goals.

He was fine tonight, but I’ve been on this board for 8 years now and have seen Henrik Lundqvist raked over the coals by certain posters for a lot less than some of the work Igor Shesterkin does tending goal. It’s slightly funny.

Laf did not deserve to be anywhere near the ice in ot he was horrible the entire game
DUDE! This argument is so f***ing trash... it could be Jack Johnson... but seriously. Ryan Strome blew a platypus’s dick hole and he was out there for not one, but TWO, OT shifts. Maybe it’s more important about giving the ice time to the kid we drafted first overall and is going to be the face of the franchise for the next 10+ years ?

Strome is out of synch. He’s in good places and head up but he’s flubbing the puck. I’d let it be for a bit longer. To do anything, this team needs Strome to straighten himself out. I’d be a touch more patient.

Positives. Chytil, Kakko moving all night. Kakko looking quicker. Still not the fastest player obviously but he had a motor tonight. PDG really did some yeoman's work on that line too.
K'Andre Miller... You would have to be blind not to see how good he's been. I would say our best player over 4 games.

Lmao chill my dude. Strome didn’t deserve it either nor did Kreider. That’s on the coach but I do agree with Quinn not playing Laf in ot

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It seemed pretty obvious to me watching that they had a huge shots advantage tonight. Probably Buchnevich won more of the puck battles for them than the other guys they tried in that slot. The PP, I don't know. He still makes some good set-up plays but the team seems pretty loaded with "guys who can be ok on the PP" and he hates shooting even more than he did last year.
