Not sure what to make of that period. Didn't generate much offensive zone time, but I thought they were fine at moving pucks out of their own end and taking away time and space from Pitt. Only time we gave anything up was when Johnson was on the ice. Really need more from Zibanejad and Kreider, they've been non-existant.

I’ve been becoming a Rangers fan over the last few years but have to say I’m sure not impressed with Lafreniere. He seems to be playing on the perimeter with zero confidence.

I think he gets a pass, for now, on not going inside, but it's inexcusable for others and especially the veterans.

Strome looked better that period than Lafreniere. Sorry to say but it’s true. Not that Strome looked good, just that Lafreniere looked worse. Buch should be on the first PP though.

Hes a kid that seems to be deferring to the leaders on the team, it happens when youre young player on a new team, he needs to trust himself.

Supposedly skating was one of his biggest weaknesses.

Laf seems to be doing the same things Kakko's been doing.
Like the first game vs now afraid to do mistakes or handle the puck for longer periods of time.
