Pipe down with your sensible and rational take.

We are hyping Roby like irrational Leaf and Hab fans.

Allow us to enjoy the moment.

:sarcasm:

How are we hyping him up?

Anyway, who scores more points next year, Jarventie or Draisaitl? Also, do you guys think he is more of a 50 goal, 50 assist type or a 30-70?

No I think his floor is more like 40-50, or 35-45 in bad seasons, let's not exagerrate. I also agree that we have not been hyping him at all, we have been pretty conservative

60/60 or better.

The greatest players in hockey always have weird last names.

Another night, another point. This time with a good defensive play and a secondary assist following that. Especially nice was that it happened at the crucial moments when the home team KalPa was fiercely trying to tie the game in the battle between two top teams in Liiga. Maccelli scored a nice wrister goal from that play that Järventie started and Hayton got his 1st Liiga point with the primary assist to the goal. A pretty good game from Järventie once again.

How did Hayton look? Big fan of his game.

You can look like shite (probably rusty) and you come in and score the winning goal in your 1st game in the league.. and you look great.

I thought he looked pretty good. He was strong with the puck and made some nice passes by creating some time for his linemates to get well open. It wasn't just some pointless hanging to the puck, but well thought and controlled plays by him usually. Seems that he has a pretty good shot too, but didn't get too well to use it yet.

Their line looked like they were still figuring out how to play together and how to get their timings right. But I think there was also already a lot of promise of them having potential to be an absolute top line in Liiga. The crucial 3-1 goal was a good example of that. Can’t wait to see them play together again.

Jarvente is 10th in league scoring with 5g 6a 11 pts in 12 games.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the kid. However, IMO, he needs to be up in the top 5 in scoring in order to crack the top 6 over here. He also needs some big goals as well as primary assists to be a true impactful player. Let’s see how things go before the hype gets carried away.

Top 5 in scoring as an 18 year old to become a top 6 player here?

Aho came 9th with 45 in 45 at 18, pretty sure he’s the closet to top 5 in scoring at 18 in the past decade at least.

Needs to be up in the top 5? That's not how any of this works, this shit isn't linear.

If I pretend we drafted Jarventie and merilainen at 3 and 5 and then stutzle and Sanderson at 28 and 33, I feel a lot better
