Quinn has incredible mind control over all of them at every moment but bizarrely it's only in that one aspect.

It’s the same reason psychics can’t play the lottery, if they use their powers for anything useful they’ll lost their gift.

Refs need to be investigated, possibly a pay reduction or suspension for failure to report calls right in front of them at least. Make them ref the game hard. Id rather theyd call more penalties that are legit and have a lot of em then bs no calls and stupid throwouts.
You can’t discount that they’re told t ref a certain way.

Sit Kaapo on maintenance and let him catch his breath over a extra long Christmas break. There are very few 18 year olds in the league. Quinn is the developmental coach. You have to know when to give an 18 year kid a break. It's not effort, it's not talent. It's conditioning that takes years to build.

Ruff is useless. This coaching staff is simply not very adept or capable of adapting. I don't see Quinn lasting past this year. He's not meant to be a winning structure and system coach and whatever his development skills are, it's done its job and it's ran its course. Very few young players are progressing under Quinn at this point.

Quinn is a seat warmer until the team is ready for an NHL coach. It's a bad strategy but we're stuck with him for now.

And wtf guys cmon? Fire quinn? Rangers played an awesome game, it was unlucky and the score is technically 3-2. Yea, the hit on buch shouldve been unforgivable, we shoulda had haley tonight just run a truck into every single pred. Might i add wtf was going on with them crosschecking constantly right in front of the ref and the ref is like hmm what should i get for dinner?

3dit: i know he wasnt playing tonight but i wish he was.

December and January is the time of year I was concerned about.

Teams adjust and catch-up, and the flaws start to get exploited.

The past two Decembers is when it started to show that the Rangers arguably weren’t sneaking into the playoffs unless a lot of stuff broke in their favor. We’ll see how this one looks.

On a different note, this game has to serve as a teaching moment for refs. It was atrocious.

You must be a hockey ref, Mr Podz.

This team is basically just Panarin and Mika, and that’s not a good thing.
I knew eventually with all the young players on this team the impact of an NHL season would wear them down a bit. If that is the case this early in the season we will be starved for bottom 6 scoring. We can't have 95 percent of the goals come from Mika and Panarin's lines.

All the more for an investigation. If fair is fair, then prove it. No player should get 2 mins for a blatant hit to the head. No player should be allowed to maul a guy with his body in front of a ref and get nothing except a stare and a face that goes "doyyy". I want a respinse from the nhl or something. Its happening more and more lately, maybe because technology is getting better and the camera angles allow us to see what they miss, fine. But thats why u review calls and u cant miss ones so obvious its like u got hit in the face with it.

In a sick kind of way, I kind of feel prepared for what is happening right now.

I don’t feel the team was bad as they started, or as good as they looked in November and early December. I feel like this is...closer to the real thing?

Not even a fair excuse. They had energy and were forechecking great. But NSH played dirty with no response. This isn’t a youth issue(as is usually the case), this is a toughness/leadership issue.

I’m not convinced this is the plan, I think the plan was probably for Quinn to grow with the group and become a better nhl coach as they develop into a good team.

However we’re really not seeing much growth in his coaching. If he were smart he’d try and shake up his staff and bring a veteran X and Os guy to try and help him out. Ruff was obviously supposed to be that guy but it’s clearly not working.

I don't understand this sentiment. Most of the younger players have frankly sucked most of the season. Only Fox and FIL have been any good and they have not slowed down.

"David Quinn told the players not to fight or there will be consequences - Dagoon" - Whoot Whoot

Have you ever played an sports in your life? The coach’s job is to precisely rule on such matters and control the ice time of those who refute him.

Also watch any micd up NHL show of the last ten years.

DQ is a softee - Haley should be in against teams
like Nashville and Boston.

I’m not saying he should be fired but it’s now how things are done in NY

Also someone in the organization should sit Quinn down and tell him to get his **** straight with the lines

I’ve never seen a coach just so arbitrarily change lines for no real reason from game to game
I believe he is trying to make sure that everyone has some kind of chemistry and then he can f*** it up again and blame it on not being fast, physical and relentless.
