I've been up all night studying for a math final. I'll be back home around 4pm and I'm gonna stay awake until 10:00 or so to catch this full game rather than getting much needed rest to study for another math exam on Monday.

What's my point? They better *** play hard. Don't need a win (would love one...) but I want a full 60 minutes of compete. I'm sacrificing for this one, boys!

Edit: This is also my 777th post. So, you know.

Ah, games during finals week. Planning the study schedule around the game, and being up way later than needed because any studying done after the game is interrupted by moments of checking HFBoards.

I have a crim law final on Monday. Been at it since 11 this morning. Will take a break to watch the game. We'll see how productive I'll manage to be afterwards. Probably not much.

I was never a supporter of bringing in AV, but I think a third of a season with an injury ridden, talent deprived squad is a bit too soon to call him worthless ;)

Fair. I'm frustrated beacuse he has a better group than Torts did, and has found a way to do less with them.

The offense, defense, goaltending, every aspect has been worse. Hitting, blocking shots, resilience, penalty killing. All have looked much worse.

The thing that has been better, honestly, has been the powerplay. That's ALL.

I share your frustration.

What I don't agree with is that this team somehow has a better roster. Callahan is not playing like Callahan, Hagelin is bad and those two have been injured as well, Nash has been gone for a part of the season, Stepan missed camp and is underperforming, Brassard has had very few good games. Henrik has not been playing his best hockey. Staal, Girardi, MDZ have all been pretty bad.

He has a better Kreider, a better backup goalie, a better Nash, a better Richards. At the end I'd say the roster is pretty much at the same leve as last year.

Maybe you could blame the coach for that group of players underperforming, but I think it has more to do with injury problems, missing camp, infamous inconsistency and contract issues respectively.

My two cents.

I think AV has done a good job. I like that they can play themselfes out of their own end, and pass up the middle. It got old to ONLY see the dump and chase. When I watched dump and chase on the power play when Torts was the coach, my brain started to boil.
After a slow start, I think we will work ourselfs up the standings.

well it wont be his 1st NHL point but his first NHL goal :shakehead so Miller got called up to be scratched?? i bet someone is either sitting or getting dealt..

Tim Sestito will also get his 1st NHL goal tonight

Tom Sesitio is on the Canucks not Devils

Well, I guess we know who will score at MSG tonight

Everyone says 1L sucks and then it gets easier but my final lineup for this semester begs to differ.

Good luck fellow law slave.

OT, but its not as hard as I thought it would be. Just a lot of reading and playing with the material. "PPPPPP" = "Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance".

Congrats on almost being done.

This is game 30, and no Rangers games have gone to a shoot out. The only team in the NHL this season that hasn´t had a shootout. I guess this must be close to a record....

Carl Hagelin – Derick Brassard – J.T. Miller

I like it. I expect at least one goal from those three tonight

Our PK has been fantastic, we're 4th in the league.

When you have so many players underperforming, you have to look at the coach.
Easy to blame the "core players", "the Defense except McDonagh" or whatever. At some point he has to look in the mirror.

So excited to play a team that's actually worse on FO's than we are.

Our PK has been fantastic, we're 4th in the league.

Sure it's not 6th? Our special teams are relatively outstanding, but our 5-on-5 is A-trocious. .875% W when scoring 1st, making our record frustrating...

Could really use some points from Staal, his offensive production is just awful.
