I agree, but I'm going to try and put some logic behind it.

AV still has no idea what he has in Moore, DZ, and Falk. He has no idea who he trusts. He has no idea who is the best combination pairing from those three.

He sees a rivalry game, and puts in Falk because the kid is a lot tougher than DZ. You could make the argument that DZ should be in over Moore, but again, I think AV is still lost when it comes to these three.

He should just read HFBoards to get information about his players.
 
This game has blowout written all over it. 11th game in 17 days. Vets have been ground up thanks to DeBoer's stubbornness. Rangers should win this by 3 goals going away.
 
One has to wonder what MDZ has to do to stay in the lineup. This reminds me of AV's relationship with Keith Ballard in Vancouver (Ballard was eventually complianced). Moore is still waivers-exempt and he could be sent down while the Rangers showcase MDZ.

If this is the case, then he should be playing guys based on what they do game in game out. DZ has easily been better then both Falk and Moore the last handful of games. He's been playing much more confident and in no way is this completely unnecessary scratch, going to help that.

Oh, haha, I don't think that's happening. And not just because of both team's scoring woes... All bets are off when it's a big weekend rivalry game!
 
Not understanding why MDZ is scratched, thought he played well, the last few games.

I'm not sure if I'm missing some sarcasm here, but if I'm not. He's worthless for fielding a lineup with three changes from what you would want?

Your lines would be my choice too, btw.

It's not ENTIRELY sarcastic.

I don't mean to say he's not icing my ideal line up, thus he's worthless.

I am, however, beyond unimpressed with what he's done here.

I was never a supporter of bringing in AV, but I think a third of a season with an injury ridden, talent deprived squad is a bit too soon to call him worthless ;)
