“@stevezipay: To clear up any locally-widespread confusion---and/or panic---MSG is televising all Rangers-Caps first round games, except Game 2 (NBC)”

I'm really excited to see how Nash handles this. I could see his style being a good fit for the playoffs, and I'm sure he'll have 110% motivation to prove himself.

Yes! Best news of the day. At least I can avoid having to hear "DRRIIIVVEEE!" for a few games.

As much as people go on about OV, Nash has just as much potential to run away with this series.

Seriously, when Nash is on, he's one of the most dominant wingers in the game. He'll take it over.

That is, however, the big "if".

Looks like Nash has found some chemistry with Zuccarello, and Richards. At least that's what he says. Can become a dangerous line in the playoffs.

I think this is the second playoffs for Nash. He was there with Columbus once, and they lost all the first four games against the Red Wings. No chance back then, better luck this time!

My favorite one.

IT WOULD NOT GOOOOOOOOOO

:laugh: another pharse is depending on where the player has played (usually referring to younger players) he says " ..... a minnesota product" at least 3-5 times a game

Its honestly really annoying :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I worry about Nash in the playoffs. Playoff goals are generally dirty.

Nash had 21 goals and I don't think they was a single one in the bunch that wasn't a snipe or a dangle.

Nash count:

A gagillion dirty snipes.
A gagillion PowerNash moves.
One Frolov
One deflection

Eh, he can snipe and dangle with the best of them though. I don't think it'll be an issue. He's also got ridiculous size that most snipe and dangle sorts of players don't have.

Nash can score dirty goals, it's all about being in the right place at the right time. Besides not all playoff goals are dirty, heck probably not even the majority of them.
That's just what we had gotten used to with this offensively inept franchise.

Nash has this uncanny trick of getting the puck to the net. His size and strength should create a ton of opportunities.

People make a big deal about it, but it's still hockey. Playoff regulation rules are exactly the same. Teams play harder, focus more, make less mistakes. Nash isn't a capitalizing ninja the way Gabby was, he forces offense. Teams can work a bit harder to isolate him, but he gets his goals on the rush, and using his size and strength to power to the net. Like they say, you can't teach size.

I wait for knifed, waffleboarded and advanced ahead each game. :)

On a side note, a couple of years ago, the EA NHL game's play-by-play constantly used the words "Passed ahead". Every time my wife heard this she would gleefully shout "Pasta-head!"

She could hear it all the way in the kitchen?

Bad joke.

He is pretty hard to listen to and seems to be repeating himself even more now that he is 90.
