2 unfortunate goals against for the Kings. Quite the bad luck in addition to all the posts this season. Not sure why everyone's mad at Sutter. He's right, top players have been absent.

The Defense, has been awful lately. The Canucks have an awful offense, and put a 4 spot on the Kings.

Terrible.

I don't know what's up with Muzzin, I don't know if he got a big ego from making Team Canada in a best vs. best tournament or what, but man has he been bad. Ive heard some people call it a bad stretch or a slump, but we are at 65 games, let's call it what it is, a terrible season. If it was only a drop-off on offense we could attribute it to bad luck or system. But the defensive drop-off has been as bad or maybe worse. The amount of goals he has been on the ice for is pretty ugly, and not surprisingly he is running away with The Mike Richards Green Jacket at -20, which would be the worst +/- anyone has had in the Sutter era

And yeah, with Drew the lack of offense, especially in getting the puck through is really hurting. Drew has 0 goals since the all-star break and the Kings have lost five games since the break by one goal. No one is expecting him to turn into Karlsson or Burns but he needs to be more than just a dominant player in the defensive and neutral zones. Doughty is to skilled to not be a factor in the offensive zone.

Easily one of the biggest questions on the team. Looks like he skates in sand half the time. Has a tough time turning. Didn't look good in the few games he played for Canada. Had a back injury when he was in junior hockey, so you hope that hasn't popped back up in some fashion. He was fine at the end of last year.

How does a team that is 6th overall in GA have a player at -20(not that he's the only one close to that)? I'm sure some of that is empty net goals, but he's also scored a couple empty net goals himself. Too often, when a goal goes in, it's Muzzin you see skate by with his head down after the red light. It's more depressing than McNabb, because Muzzin wasn't supposed to be a question mark, but then neither was Kopitar.

-18 in the first 60 games of the season.
-2 in the 5 games since Quick/Bishop

Smaller sample size, not a good stat to use, and all that, but -2 in 5 games is a little worse than -18 in 60 games.

What a season it's been.

I thought Miller actually had some nice saves. LA needed to have more bodies in front of him.

Felt like Kopi couldn't win an important draw to save his life.

The two crap goals killed them.

I think LAs biggest issue this year is the PP. It sucks overall. If it was more lethal and efficient LA would have more points.

Kempe is getting better, that's a plus.

Most Canuck fans in the crowd didn't even care enough to be obnoxious. They were just happy that their new Russian scored a goal.

Muzzin not only makes bad plays he makes incredibly dumb plays, last night was one of the worst games he has played this year and that says a lot, the Play at the blue line in the 3rd typifies(sp) his game lately ,makes a great play to hold it in right on the line then stick handles us off sides with no one near , f@@@@@@k, what a season............ Want to say we had moral victories with kopi scoring two games in a row and kempe looking like the star we were hoping for but we needed those two points , crap we need points in almost every game Go kings go

5 games since Budaj left the net, and the Kings played 1 good period against Anaheim, couldn't hold 4 different leads against Minnesota, couldn't hold a lead against Calgary, were down 0-2 to Toronto at home, and down 0-4 to Vancouver at home. Plus their OT magic went MIA in all 3 games that went to OT.

The Kings are 19-28-18 in regulation this year, which is good for 25th overall in 60 minutes of play.

Kempe has been a pleasure to watch . La Due is going to be great aswell . Only positives I see going into the next three years. It was a mistake to start Bishop in my opinion .

The supposed top two dmen on the team are playing their worst hockey this season. Doughty has helped the team win many games in the past, but his crappy play this season is hurting the team this season. Him, Kopitar and Muzzin have not pulled their weight. Toffoli as well.

Why all the bagging on Kopitar? Toews only has 9 goals,... well, over the last 5 games that is...

L.A. fans: Two deflections off our own players into our net, leading to a loss? Two?

Toronto fans: Payback!!

I made the mistake of buying tickets to this game. As good as Kempe was Muzzin was the polar opposite. Dude needs to be healthy scratched, I'm deciding if he's in the Darryl Sydor or Jack Johnson vortex, it's a really tough call.

Having been an advocate for Muzzin when he first joined the Kings, it is disappointing to watch him this season.

The guy has the tools, but the toolbox has been a question for him. It looked as though he had it figured out last season. This season has been a disaster for him.

I blame the hipster beards.
Besides them being ugly, I think the stupidity of the beard affects their brains. Muzzin's beard slows his skating, his ability to see the ice and is pulling needed nutrients away from his brain. Playoff breads are for the playoffs. You no longer need to think because after 82 games you have muscle memory.
Drew is showing bread brain drain as well at times.

Fun stat of the day: Brent Burns and his 27 goals are only three goals less than the entire Kings blueline.

Burns also has as many goals as the combined total of Kopitar, Gaborik and Toffoli.

The Kings find new ways to impress us every day.

Looking ahead to Thursday's game against Nashville, noticed that Mike Fisher only has one less point than Kopitar. Let's see how a well rested Kings team responds against a playoff team that they're chasing.

At this late stage of the season, with 17 games remaining, are there people out there still expecting this team to "flip a switch?" I believe that's what the theory was in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Maybe third time's the charm?

Not sure why Gravel isn't playing?

I've said it from the beginning of the season that I didn't think LA would make it to the playoffs.

I even took flak for saying Edmonton and Calgary were good teams likely to finish ahead of LA.

Even with that, I'm still rooting for them.

Yes they are flawed but I don't get the constant pointing out of how dire things have become.

If changes are going to come then they will come.

Feels like some are actively hoping they will go 0-18 to finish out the season.

I get being realistic, but this team still has potential for this year and next.

At least they are not the damn Canucks.

Muzzin looked out of the game as soon as they trailed 3-0.
He seemed more concerned with picking a fight with a Sedin.
Considering the Kings almost made the comeback in the end.....it would have been nice if he put in some effort, when he must have thought the game was over.

Yeah, but seeing a Sedin trying to dial an imaginary phone never gets old.
