I think it's unrealistic to think we will face the Wild. It's a collision course for WPG/DAL/EDM/VGK with it most likely being Dallas.

Maybe some revenge will fire the boys up in the first round. I think a lot of our playoff fate this year rests on Blackwood's shoulders, and that gives me some confidence.
 
Does anybody have the analytics of the most important categories between this current team and the team that won the Cup in 2022? It would be really interesting to see how both teams compare to each other, but I am interested how far this team is away from the 2022 one.

Wish we would've traded Colton before the NTC kicked in. After the hot start, he has been the definition of a passenger. Can't tell if Bedner or the player neutered his game. But he's just coasting out there. As is his lover Wood. Feel bad for Cmac, on paper they should be good sandpaper bottom six players. But are absolutely hot dogging it out there nightly.

Thanks for the effort!

- So we definitely aren't as killer offensively and we can attribute some of that to a lacklustre PP.

- Going from Kadri to Mittelstadt who has struggled so far in the second half of the season.

- Losing superior depth and bringing in worse depth (notable offensive black holes due to problems with hockey IQ).

The PP % difference between '22 and now apart from lack of shooting can be narrowed down to 2 guys easily.

Nichushkin and Landeskog in front of the net. 2 of the top 5-10 net front power forwards in the game missing.

Add those 2 guys back into this PP and watch it take off again.

-Yeah couldnt agree more on the net front presence, but its also the way Avs play. 2 guys skating perimeter, 1 guy at bumper 2 on the blueline shooting easy pucks at net. Its bad and it looks even worse game after game with zero changes to it...
 
Will MacK make it to the Four Nations break still in 1st or will Draisaitl pass him after he puts up 4 or 5 points against us on Friday?

I said this before, I think the biggest issue right now for the Avs is lack of 2nd line production. We haven’t been scoring many goals lately. Just look back when we had the same issue before Kadri and after Naz left. We’re going through the same shit.

In a game like last night where the top line struggled to produce, you need your 2nd line to come through, that’s what the 2nd line is for. Mitts needs to be replaced ASAP. It’s a bigger problem than Middleton/Malinski 3rd pair.

Meh, only way she can help the Avs is if one of them goes to the Colorado River during the 4 Nations break, falls in, and desperately needs a floatation device to avoid drowning

Sure they add some toughness, but toughness only helps so much when you can't score goals..

You are completely disregarding that Wood also adds dumbness.

Dumbness is something you can't teach.
