I thought the same thing. I don't think it was intentional, I think it was the nature of the game being played. These last two were hard fought, playoff like games, which in general, is more of a Tortorella game.

That said, the game against the Senators was the furthest thing from a Tortorella game. Although, I don't know anymore, those Canucks seem to be giving up a lot of goals right now. Luongo got out just in time.

I hated the Sens game. It's tough to hate a game where your team scores THAT MUCH, but if we played that way against any other team, we'd have been massacred. It so happens that the Senators are dismal.

But since Nash got such a harsh reception in Ohio, this team has looked pissed. They've had that chip on their shoulder, they've looked like that "us against the world" mentality finally hit.

I'm not the biggest fan of fighting, and I don't advocate keeping pure fighters on a hockey team. That said, Poo and Nash stepping up like that galvanized the team in a huge way. It wasn't Carcillo or Dorsett out there, it was two guys that, if they were fighting, something was really going on.

That was the attitude and the toughness that I missed SO badly. I NEVER thought it'd be Nash to reignite it. I swear, in my entire life I never expected to say these words, but, thank god for Ohio.

But brah, brah...rick nash plays with no heart brah....

:shakehead:

Btw...Poo has been great. So physical. Love it.

Give me a break. Nash hasn't show heart in almost all the games this year. I'll be the first to admit when he's played well, which he has the last two games.

But for the record, that does not nullify his overall poor performance for the majority of this year.

Let's hope he continue to be on a tear down the stretch.

It's actual a possibility that Stepan can reach 60 points, and that's pretty tremendous after his awful start to the season.

He was recovering from a damn concussion.

Excuses all year.

The concussion was 6 months ago. If it was that bad, he shouldn't have been playing at all and should have sat out the year.

Also, should have skipped the Olympics.

If he steps it up for the stretch and the playoffs, all is forgiven. Until then, I'm not going to be swooning over the guy based on 2 games he's played hard in. Especially when I haven't seen that effort anywhere near where it should be for the entire season.

Diaz should have been playing since we acquired him. He's much better then Moore at this point in their careers.

Great defensive effort on the 2nd of a back to back in two road cities. Jagr's line is a cycling machine but they didn't generate many quality scoring chances. I hope Nash continues his beast mode play.

Always great to beat the Devils--and a nail in their coffin. Tight game but the Rangers were the better team. Nash with his 8th GW goal. All the D looked good. The forwards back checked their ***** off.

Isn't this a great team, with Zucc as our toughest player. Try me, I'll take you on whoever you are :D

Lol I always love the dramatic music the Devils play after Philly/NYR scores to drown out the fans cheering.

I really like Stralman, but if Diaz can consistently play like this, I'd be fine with signing him as the 3RD next year instead of Stralman.

Perfect defensive hockey.

If Mcdonagh isnt the best defensive defenseman in the NHL, somebody tell me who is.

Tonight was vintage Lundqvist. One of his best games of the season. No rebounds. No losing sight if the puck. Challenged every shooter.

Have to totally agree. Maybe i am biased but he is all over the place. inspires total confidence that he will get the puck somehow
