Karl Varnsen seems to be more of a Torts fan than a Rangers fan. He's really enjoying this. I don't care that we don't have the top end talent of the elite teams, Torts coached this team like they had the talent of a high school team. It's amazing that someone can be such a big defender of his and find any excuse to say he's right. Every time we lose now he'll pop up and tell us that it wasn't Torts. I'm sorry, but this team while not having elite level forward talent has more talent than Torts gave and Karl give them credit for. I don't care that they're getting their ass handed to them today.

All Hank wants is trophies and paychecks, he doesn't give a **** about the city or the team anymore. 11-12 was clearly his last straw. He's gonna go get paid. Since he's walking anyways, and since all the things that made this team something close to a contender are gone, we might as well ****ing start over. We're done anyways.

Last year may have been the last straw. He was more than pissed we all saw that. I don't think it was though

I am, I promise. I'm just done with this ****. I started hating the direction as soon as we traded for Nash. The 11-12 team was the best thing I'd seen from the organization in years, and Sather decided to gut our entire NHL ready center depth to add a soft, overpaid 30 goal scorer with no playoff experience, let alone success. Torts got rid of Avery because he didn't like him which was Pejorative Slured, and claimed "other guys were better" when Mitchell was on the team. Prust was allowed to walk to cover Nash's Pejorative Slured and unnecessary cap hit. Rupp was traded for Powe, a piece of **** player who serves no purpose.

The Rangers excelled in 11-12 because we lead the league in fighting majors and blocked shots, and we had work ethic. That team couldn't win with talent either, but it just about worked, bled, bruised and punched its way to a cup. THAT was a freaking hockey team, not this band of ******* currently running around in Rangers jerseys.

I don't think I've ever read a post that led me on such a roller coaster ride as this. Hate the Nash trade, awesome. Mention Avery, cringe. Love the 11-12 team, awesome. Bash Hank, cringe. We're not a contender, well the viewpoint is sad but true.

I mean Hank's taken this abuse since he got here, might be the ONLY reason for concern that he'd jump to say Detroit...

I have a genuine request for all of you:

Every time you think you saw a Ranger legitimately finish a hit in this period, make a mention of it, please.

Okay man, we got it, Torts was in no way, shape, or form, responsible for this team being terrible offensively, transition game wise, and on the PP last year in the system he implemented. You are God. Tortorella is the best coach in the NHL.

We should just stop watching this team. Forget the other 79 games they have left to give this new coach a shot here. Just stop watching hockey all together. Because...you know...3 games says it all.

It's sad when as a fan of a team, you really root for the team even harder just to shove it down the throats of the people that claim they are fans of the same team as you because of their pessimistic attitude on everything about the team, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The opposing point of view is that it gets tiresome to hear how a cach was detrimental to the team because he recognized that he did not have the personnel to open it up.

AV will come to the same conclusion or miss the playoffs.

I gave up on watching. just have the audio running in the background because the sharks have some sweet music

I swear reading this thread is like hearing the schizophrenic ramblings of homeless people at grand central station. PIM/Kel Varsen, if I give you a quarter will you guys leave?

But you said we couldn't score yesterday and only got lucky?

Huh, I don't think I said that. The third goal was lucky, I think I might have said that. The other two were legit. I don't buy into this "we looked better than the score shows" stuff. But yesterday was pretty fun. The defensive scrambling worried me long term still.

just block them. it really not worth the aggravation to read what they bring to the discussion.
