For a guy who gives scouting advice to shooters in the shootout on goalie weekness', how does Biron, this late in his career, not undertand his 5 hole weekness and correct it?

Oh no! We suck again!

Okay guys, every time we lose I think we should trade away all our players because it's obvious they've become hopeless losers.

Not the point. The team is not good. It should not feel good. Sather is an egomaniac who thinks he built a team out of gold, when best case scenario all he did was build a team that never wins cups OR draft lotteries and therefore always loses, in every respect, all the time. A team built to finish in the middle is about the worst thing you can have.

Any reasonable hockey fan who looks at the current state of the Rangers should be capable of acknowledging that this team isn't even in the realm of contending for a cup. Ovechkin and his band of merry AHLers and mediocre talent is just as likely to win a cup as we are. When one player is better than your whole team, you have a problem.

This Rangers team IS NOT GOOD. You can still love the Rangers, buy merch, watch every game and admit that. This Rangers team also has little to no hope to be good in the future. Accept it, deal with it, move forward and hope that Dolan does the same, and realizes the benefits of choking or trading to chokers for picks, or both, because it's really our only hope.

the difficult part of this loss, is they came out pretty hard, not as hard as last night, drew two early powerplays go up 1-0 and then give up a shorty that ties it, then the ref gets in on the puck TWICE leading to the sharks taking the lead 2-1. If they don't take the lead I think you see a different team out there. But that's hockey. The feeds I was watching have had problems all night, no sense in working on them for this debacle.

I hope Nash gets better soon, but I think he is out for at least a couple games. I am interested to see what the organization does, but would not be surprised to see Kreider recalled tomorrow. I'd like him to get more time in the AHL, but he's the closest player that can step in on the top line here in New York and contribute.

Good night y'all.

I don't think you're a Rangers fan.

Certainly don't want to trade the whole team and give up on the season after three games, but let's face it, this team lacks top-end scoring talent. Five goals in three games, one on a 5-on-3, one on a once in a million fluke.

This is a marathon, not a sprint, but this team needs to play defense and have goal-tending like two years ago to do anything in the standings.

The third and fourth lines still couldn't score into an open net.

Ultimately, we may be OK, if some of the kids can make it to the NHL (think Kreider, Miller and Fast), we need their speed and size.

Also, I think the Devils, Flyers and 'Canes are going to stink, so we can make the playoffs and maybe get some scoring help in the spring. But the team as presently constructed is not a contender.

My one big defense of Torts was thgat I flat out did not think we had a good roster. Didn't have the horses to run a good, consistent offense. However if between guys like Kreider, fasth, Kristo, Lindberg, Miller one or two of them can earn a role based on offense between now and next year it will go a very long way and completely change the team dynamic. Still Richards, Callahan, Hagelin, Nash, Stepan, Brassard and Zuke are good players who can play anywhere in the NHL and win imo. So we aren't utterly barren at forward. So what's the problem?Well I guess Nash and Hags were out in this game (nash got hurt). Callahan, Rich, Stepan, Brass and Zuke doesn't look nearly as good. Pouliot looks good too I guess but missing those two makes it pretty tough.

Links on Hank playing deeper, now, due to Allaire's system:

These are in no order and there are a million more out there. Allaire specifically changed Hank's game. Hank played much more aggressive in Sweden and is really night-and-day now compared to what he was.

For some reason, I wish Evander Kane was on our team. There's better wingers out there, but for some reason I always think of Kane as a guy who would fit well.

And yet they only lost 2-1, really. AV the clown has to realize this team can't play safe is death.

It was 3-1 and they got completely outplayed, if Quick didn't stand on his head most of that game it would have been 5-1. I'm looking at quality of play and not the score. Also they didn't play anything in that period. It has nothing to do with safe is death. Safe is death not working would be obvious if they were pushing the pace and the Sharks were just countering. They just got dismantled. They haven't played any system.

Where were all the prophets of doom last night?

Oh you mean PIM and Kel Varnesen? They only post here when they can ***** and moan and tell everyone how they know everything because they are always right about their negative outlook on this team. It's okay to create discussion but they are flat out ridiculous. Why even bother being a fan of a team? Just watch other teams or don't watch hockey at all..

Give it a rest.

I seriously think you are Torts

Because only Torts would recognize at this point how Torts was never a part of the problem? You're going to have to recognize at some point this year, hard as that may be for the crowd so convinced he was holding us back, that Torts was always one of the bright spots for this team.

 yeah that McD goal was real legitimate. I bet we score half our goals that way this year.

Someone should screenshot a bunch of comments and bring them up when we clinch our playoff spot (and yes, I think this team is a 4 or 5 seed).

I actually just looked at his post history. Lot's of posts from the Phoenix game. Nothing yesterday.

I think you should make a thread and put all your thoughts in it and name it "this is a not good hockey team".
