Everyone blamed Ruff for our horrible defense last year. Devils have not allowed a 5v5 goal still. I think there was some age-bias in the hate Ruff got. He's taking Quinn to school.

I knew that all along but some people are under the illusion that the defensive coach makes up his own defensive system.

I am like, so sick of my entire hockey experience being about yelling at the coach to play like 2 players less.

You believe Kakko is playing great and not seeing more ice time?

I like Kakko and hope he becomes great. I am concerned that last season he had the worst metrics since metrics have been calculated.

But, for the fourth time, Hughes looks awesome. That's indisputable.
This is the second game in a row Kakko has good metrics.

No, that's where Brett Howden and Brendan Lemieux play.
The Lemieux choice makes no sense to me. Howden is a stretch, but maybe Quinn thinks that some offensive opportunities could lead to a breakout, based on his improved performance so far in the past three games. Even then, I’d rather put KK on unit 2, if just to give him extra ice time.

I liked Strome so much more when he was on the 3rd line with Names and Fast.

He's this years Fast. The fact that he's playing with Panarin and PP1 makes me hate him more than is warranted.

Fault is on Quinn

Ok but it still directly contradicts what you said.

Why does Gauthier need to do to prove he needs more ice time? I feel like he’s creating offense every shift he has. He wins puck battles. He goes to the net. He creates separation with his speed. And yet every game he’s at 7-9 minutes. Like WTF
This is very true. I feel like he looks good in his limited minutes.
