That took 5 years off my life.

We will need to be better.
Only five years!? I've ordered a casket for the next game already.

I'm quite sure that our first line can handle the McDavid-line. They won't - of course - contain them every single moment on the ice, but I'm sure they won't let them dominate. That's all one can ask for. Get the puck deep, spend as much time as possible in Edmonton's zone and make them tired. Barkov is quick, he is smart, he want to win in a way I've never seen before. McDavid won't blow past him that easy. Reinhart is also a key in shutting down McDavid and Drai.

Anyway: Overall this game wasn't very good from our side. It will be better in game 2. We'll see.

God, I was so nervous. Haven't been nervous in...let's say, 12 years. Guess those games mean a tad more than I expected.

Now we take game 2.

Edmonton came in to our building more prepared, and played an excellent road game. They can say “oh we had our chances…they will come…we got this…etc.”

But…after all that, we still won 3-0, playing like we did after we had so many days off against Boston, and lost Game 1 of that series. If that is an excellent game for Edmonton, and we can get similar goaltending for the rest of this series from Bob, it’s over, because Game 1 is the worst we will look this series, I would bet good money on it.

The Oilers were clearly the better team in this one. The Panthers had McDrai snoozing, and the refs and lucky charms on their side. Oilers in 5.

I think it's the worst our offense will look this series. However, I don't think it's realistic to expect this Bobrovsky every game. So those things may cancel each other out.

Atleast the Oilers and medias shenanigans about the refs seemed to work...

I've never seen anything like this in the last two playoffs runs !

Kane taking runs at our players, and not a single call...

Perry wrestling Barkov in the corner and trying a jujitsu chokehold...

Oilers taking runs at Bob...

Let's see if it continues like that or if Oilers get called like everybody else in the end.

Can't wait to see our game #2... Some hockey fans are in for a pretty bad reality-check...

I know we weren't at our best to start (maybe the early goal did this), but we still had our game going through the three periods ! It didn't seemed like that because we had a little bit less O-zone possession-time than normal, and Oilers outshot us... But the tempo, the hits !!!

Guys were hitting everything in the first two periods... Bouchard was already blindly throwing reverse-pass behind his net because he was hearing our players skating towards him, others were fumbling and losing the puck because of how hard we were on the boards.

You could feel it in the third, even if desperation and hope were on Oilers-side, our style was already starting to wear them down.

I'm not sure the Oilers will be ready for what will hit them on Monday !!

LFG CATS GO...
