Yes we are. How many turnovers has Tavares made in the last few games, and last night’s one quite costly? And maybe it’s just me, but aside from being a very good skater with a nice shot, how does Nylander do in crunch time, that’s if he’s even on the ice?
Also, like I repeated what O-dog said, why do two $11 million players need someone to help them get going? Shouldn’t Keefe be putting players on their line to get that player going, rather than the other way around?

My favorite sequence of the game was Chabot throwing a big knee on Hyman and getting clipped in the face by a stick as Hyman tried to get out of the way (but still got kneed) and Hyman got the only penalty (a 4 minute one at that) and then the Leafs PK put on a clinic but right as its expiring, Chabot knocks the stick out of Veseys hands and then skates down to to set up the Sens 4th goal om the odd man situation he created.

Frustrating sequence for some but theres a sort of beauty to the reffing we are getting against us this year.

So after sleeping on it, calming myself down and looking back at the game with a level head...I still have no f***in clue how you blow that lead to a team like Ottawa.

Analytics bailed us out big time. Top team in the league vs the bottom team in the standings.

Leafs only lost this game on actual GF% and GA%, but we kicked their asses on expected xGF% and xGA% before, during and after this game.

This is only an L if you believe the boxscore and not the spreadsheet.

Bad calls have been turning points all year. Very much on purpose to try to keep games interesting.

It's pathetic that 2 of Ottawa's 4 wins are against us. Anything short of going 2-0 in the upcoming back to back is a failure.

It would feel more right if there was a solid reason but there isnt. The Leafs were the better team in the third overall but got outscored 3-0. They outshot them, out chanced them and outworked them. Ottawa got goals on a weird bounce in the air, one of those perfect timing plays on an expired penalty and a guy getting his stick knocked out of his hands for 2 seconds which led to an odd man situation on yet another expiring penalty.

I think Hogberg came up huge after the second period and should be getting more credit but he wont in this atmosphere.

The worst part of the game for the Leafs was the second half of the second period really, a period where they really laid back.

This is the second game in a row Ottawa did something special. They beat the jets with 8 seconds on the clock. So when do teams start talking them serious. They aren’t overly talented, everyone knows that. They’re the hardest working team in the zNorth division game in and game out. Freddy has no luck against them ha and the skaters let off.
Quarter point of the season, this game means squat but f*** that was annoying. Do the same thing again but play to their work ethic for 60 minutes and we will be fine next one.
Marlies won last night too in their season opener 3-2 against the moose. Robertson had a assist.

Keefe put Kerfoot out to take the draw in our zone after the time out. Seriously, he lost the draw and they scored. Our worst faceoff guys and he loses the draw 6 on 5 thats not smart coaching

It felt like the game against Boston except that I didn't really care what happened in overtime. Hopefully they learn something from this one. When AM completely no-cellied the 5-1 goal I was thinking "game's not over dude, look like you care"...
