I don't think Copp, Kane, Chiarot ,Petry or Holl will get traded
Maybe Tarasenko and Lyon before trade deadline. We could get for them two extra second round picks. Tarasenko could get replaced with Danielson or Lombardi.
Have Berggren in the package for #3 defansman?

Anyone would be on the table for me, that being said berggren is finally starting to produce and I'd hang on to him for now and let his value build especially since we dont know anything yet about other prospects

Like Soderblom but it's not looking good and Lombardi is way too soon.

I'd trade copp compher holl chiarot talbot and include salary for a few seasons if need be. We can afford to do so for a few seasons with the cheap rookie contracts

I'd be collecting assets to make big moves in the off season while trying to get a lottery pick this season. Looked in the standings and outside chicago I can realistically see us fall in the top 3

Even sharks are starting to win games with just winning celebrini . Can see ducks starting to win games, too much talent

Kane - cant see him sticking around for this and dont blame him. Id expect a 2nd rounder off contender

Lyon- hes got a cheap contract which would be valuable and I'd be asking for a 2nd off a contender since itll be late 50s

Talbot- on the flipside of lyon I'd move talbot instead with that extra year if we eat his salary at 50% to a cash strapped cup contender like Colorado I believe we can get a late 1st . That 1st could be valuable and used in a trade for a big piece. Id then Resign lyon

Debrincat - fans wont be happy but I see a 0% chance yzerman resigns him to a longterm deal when his contract ends. It wont happen but I'd do it now if we can get a bigger return for him. We'd fall in the standings and we can use his return for a zegras/cozens/byfield? Basically big piece like someone young with huge upside that can be here longterm

Tarasenko- at 50% I'm sure we can get decent return from a contender. Sure hes produce better elsewhere and he has cup experience ,hed be a valued piece

3rd retention I'd use would be on chiarot. Think at 50% I think he could have some value, again on a contending team trying to save cap space.

If not I'd use it on compher before he becomes untradeable like copp. I think if hes available at 4 million we can get a 1st. Nashville is struggling and hey have 3 1sts and we can target Tampa's pick

We'd have Larkin kasper danielson copp next season able to play center

1st from Talbot, 1st from compher ,1st debribcant, 2nds from kane,tarasenko

Probably guarantee we get a hagens, misa,Schaeffer, martone ... we have 3 1sts and multiple 2nds we can use to make big deals in the off season

If we had all these assets last summer maybe we could of had like a necas

All this wont happen lol but that's the move I'd be making.

I can see where Talbot could fetch a solid return with his play this season, but I would much prefer to hold onto him. Per his play so far as a Wing, and his ability to mentor Cossa if he indeed makes the roster. We finally have solid goaltending for the first time since Bernier, not sure I want to torch that 26 games later.

IF they want to move Dcat, that sure feels like more of an off season move than anything else. You have mentioned before, you would like to tank for Mckenna, so I get why your purposing to blow the roster up.

NO ONE is going to give us a first for Compher. Not unless one of us can hack a GMs cellphone and do it ourselves.

Teams are limited in the amount of contracts that can use retention on right? Feels like this post is pushing that limit as is.

Red Wings trade F Vladimir Tarasenko

Compher has played like shit all season, so you want to reward him by putting him on the top line?
