Im disappointed in myself that I spent my time watching trade deadline thinking anything would happen.... Yzerman really just letting this team end up wherever they end up the last 2 years makes it difficult as a fan to have much excitement. The fact all we did was ship Veleno out for Smith and Mrazek, thats a fail... standing pat would have been better. We added salary next season for no purpose...

That being said, I still am going to watch. They can still turn the season into a positive, they are in the middle of a playoff race... either everyone sulks and it turns out real bad or they pick themselves up and stop feeling sorry for themselves. Not very inspiring stuff, but hard to grade a deadline/free agency/draft the day it happens. The first impression is stinky, very stinky.

Ottawa just added Zetterlund for dirt cheap. Not sure how you guys can keep making endless excuses for this. We EASILY could have beaten that offer.

Once again our competition got better and we did nothing. We traded Husso and then took back a longer goalie contract for no clear reason. Hooray.

Another f***ing year of no playoffs. How are some of you fine with this?

A bit of a disappointing deadline for us. Don't really get why we wanted Mrazek unless one of the goalies is dinged up and we don't know it. I don't mind Yzerman putting the onus on the guys in the room to pick it up and get into the playoffs, though. Gut check time. If they continue to not get it done, I'd hope for some bigger changes in the offseason.

Hope we come out gunning tonight.
