Chicago claiming Jarry is insane to me. You have to think Dubas would take back some money if they were at all interested in taking him on.

I'd throw a future 2nd at Chicago if they want to take him. That's a lot of savings on the cap.
Dubas isn’t giving up draft picks to get rid of Jarry.

Jarry is better being traded problem child for problem child.

For the resigning….
There wasn’t much out there. So I understand the resigning. I do blame Dubas for the term. He could have done 2-3 years instead.

Dubas doesn’t have a great track record with goalies, even going back to Toronto.

People keep saying that but I don't think it's true. I think if you only offer him that he leaves and signs with someone else.

The options were Jarry at the dumb contract he got or *insert veteran stopgap option here* instead. I don't think Jarry at 2-3 years was ever an option.

Shit man I'd do it even if they didn't ask just out of sheer relief.

Heck maybe they LIKE spending exorbitant amounts of money on nothing... look at Foligno.

Then again glass houses and all that...

Heck maybe Chicago also wants Hayes or Acciari. I'd totally be willing to send them all three.

Not that I'd cry if he left but honestly I'd rather keep Hayes over Glass at this rate.

At least Hayes does... things. I have yet to understand how Glass was even rated highly enough to be drafted at all... much less where he was.

Dubas must have pissed in Frank Seravalli's corn flakes. Dubas' moves, especially his first summer here, are open to scrutiny and criticism, but this "analysis" reads like something from a jilted lover.

Frank Servalli is also the guy who basically called Sid a bad person for missing ASG media day.

Maybe it's time we analyze how much damage to humanity his fat ass has done by stealing valuable oxygen

Saying that the Guentzel deal was something the team regretted because "the core was disappointed" is all I need to see to know Seravalli is stupid.

He's not giving credit for the Penguins trading for Karlsson and attempting to be better, but he's criticizing them for selling Guentzel and not "helping their playoff chances". It's just stupid.

It's also dumb to just say "Guentzel didn't bring a 1st back" without mentioning literally any of the pieces he was traded for.

isn't there a chance that at least two of those guys are in our top-9 next year? Or even by the end of this year? I haven't been paying SUPER close attention, but I feel like I've seen enough to think two of them are comfortably going to fail to earn Sully's trust in the next 12 months

Koivunen at least will never see a Penguins uniform no matter how good he does at the AHL level so long as Mike Sullivan is behind the bench.

I mean... OK he might. For like 5 minutes on the 4th line with a freshly re-signed Noel Acciari.

Koivunen and Brunicke were both pieces in the Guentzel deal and I feel like both of those guys are looking extremely good right now.

Brunicke nearly made the Penguins out of camp this year and Koivunen is the 2nd highest rookie scorer in the AHL this year.
