It would never work for the Kings but take it and run. Byfield is not superman but he is a high end 2c or low-end 1c.For fun (though I’m still in disbelief Marchy gets moved).
If Byfield really is available. How do folks feel about-
To LA:
Poitras
Marchand (50 percent retained)
Blues 2nd rounder
+?
To BOS:
Byfield
I don't even know what that 1st paragraph means.I think you worded it wrong.
What do you mean what do you gain ? Who said it has to be picks, it can be prospects or young roster players .Marchand never made no difference this season as a leader far as pts they have & will not be here when they are relevant again. You are talking about him like he is 30 not a player going on 37.
I have no interest in sneaking into a Wild Card slot so that JJ gets his two or three playoff gates. This team isn't as far off from being a playoff team as people think. You've had Hampus out most of the year, which was a big blow to the defense. Swayman is having a career worst year and many guys are having down years.....yet they're 3 points out of a wild card spot.
With ~$25 million cap space this off-season (13th highest in the NHL BTW) they could easily re-tool in the off-season and be a playoff team again.
How do you know? Are you in the dressing room with the guys? on road trips?

You sound like you want them to run it backHow do you know? Are you in the dressing room with the guys? on road trips?

They're a million miles away from being a Cup contender.
I just hope Marchand doesn't walk for nothing this off-season
If they haven't resigned him yet, gotta swallow your pride and trade him
You sound like you want them to run it back
Who has a 1st round pick ? I see none of them? I want one this year.No confirmation just a feeling around the league he's going to be moved out west. per Chris Johnston
