For fun (though I’m still in disbelief Marchy gets moved).

If Byfield really is available. How do folks feel about-

To LA:
Poitras
Marchand (50 percent retained)
Blues 2nd rounder
+?

To BOS:
Byfield

It would never work for the Kings but take it and run. Byfield is not superman but he is a high end 2c or low-end 1c.

I don't even know what that 1st paragraph means.I think you worded it wrong.

No it makes perfect sense. Marchand said he wants to play for one team. He's not an idiot. If he wants to help get this team back to the playoffs that he knows he's can't ask for the moon on a new deal. The team is going to need money to spend on players to build out the roster.

What do you mean what do you gain ? Who said it has to be picks, it can be prospects or young roster players .Marchand never made no difference this season as a leader far as pts they have & will not be here when they are relevant again. You are talking about him like he is 30 not a player going on 37.

How do you know? Are you in the dressing room with the guys? on road trips?

This team isn't as far off from being a playoff team as people think. You've had Hampus out most of the year, which was a big blow to the defense. McAvoy has missed 14/15 games so far. Swayman is having a career worst year and many guys are having down years.....yet they're 3 points out of a wild card spot.

With ~$25 million cap space this off-season (13th highest in the NHL BTW) they could easily re-tool in the off-season and be a playoff team again.

I have no interest in sneaking into a Wild Card slot so that JJ gets his two or three playoff gates.

They're a million miles away from being a Cup contender.

You sound like you want them to run it back

Who said they would only be able to sneak into a wild card spot? They've been below average all year and are close to a wild card spot. Swayman returns to form, Hampus and McAvoy back. Elias & Zaddy are more comfortable in Boston.

If the team this year played to their capability, they're easily a playoff team.

I just hope Marchand doesn't walk for nothing this off-season

If they haven't resigned him yet, gotta swallow your pride and trade him

This exactly, the days of the Bruins holding onto their FA's and letting them walk for nothing surely are over with the Bruins not being a legitimate playoff contender this year.

Run it back? no. That would mean they're rolling the same team as this year. That's not at all what I want. I see $25 million in cap space that the team can use to go out and add some skill to this team. I'm not one of those people that wants to blow it all up and take it down to the studs.....because that plan rarely works and when it does it takes a VERY long time.

So same deal. She says both teams want to find a deal for Brad to stay. Teams are still calling. If he's traded the one name that comes to mind for her is VGK....

Sounds like business as usual and these people have no idea what's happening with Marchand. It'd be a big story though if he was traded, so they want to breathe life into it until it does or didn't happen

No confirmation just a feeling around the league he's going to be moved out west. per Chris Johnston
