Difference here IMO is that this team isn’t that bad right? I could see a world where this team is highly competitive in 2-3 years. That old Bruins team sucked.

Marchand is also 36 to be fair. Being good in 2-3 years doesn't really do much for him if he wants to win.

It's not a conspiracy, but the timing for him changing his mind seems to lineup with the 4 Nations tournament.

Him and MacKinnon are already close so i can just imagine Nate was on him about it the whole way which made him go "hey i wonder.."

Not a bad place to go if you want a chance to win with the fixes they've made.

I probably want too much for Marchand, but I do think they should move him. Ideally a first and a good prospect, he’s probably going to be the best player on the market. Same goes for Carlo, blow me away with an offer.
On the other hand, I’d move Brazeau, Korpisalo, and Coyle for practically anything and give them a ride to the airport.
