Harry Sinden was here a lot longer, and he never won anything, but he did what Jacobs wanted, that is all that matters.
Harry had to deal with the Habs Islanders Oilers and even the Pens.

Bruins had some great teams under Harry, not the soft as jello players that this GM has assembled over the years. This current team is an embarrassment to the uniform

Sinden was one of the best hockey minds ever in the sport, never mind his coaching.

His teams never took games off and usually left all they had on the ice, it became todays benchmark and the B's reputation that this clowns are trashing.

Out: Frederic + Carlo
In: LW better than Frederic + RD worse than Carlo

Mitigating factors: Carlo is signed to a nice deal with term and some trade protection, Frederic is a UFA, both are underperforming this year but have good track records. Bruins don’t really have room to add cap.

Anything out there that fits the bill? Basically you are looking for a skilled team that needs more umph and D.

Edit: the annoying thing is that the best candidates might be Buffalo and Ottawa, of course.
What is your plan for the top 3 shit centers? Ever give it a thought that these garbage players couldn't help mike bossy look good.

Coyle and Lindholm belong on a fourth line at this stage, Coyle should be traded for a pick he's that bad. Yet here he is on a power play, How the F can you compete with this guy on your pp never mind playing on your top two lines

Laughingly I think Carlo has played much better of late so has Freddy.

Having third and forth line centers playing on your top two lines is the teams issue with scoring .

Will need to trade defenseman to fix the center spot, none of this dogs shit forward group would bring back a decent NHL player never mind a top two center-man unless its Pasta that gets sent packing.

Hell baby
I have to assume if they did it would be done by now
Why tf would we do that?

Not in the business of subsidizing one of the only ppl who cares night in and night out so Vancouver can have him and make a playoff run with him

I think Lindholm - Wotherspoon can be an underated pairing. The Bruins would need a much better 7D though to replace Oesterle. Before the Bruins make any big deals, I still think the Bruins need to give Poitras and Lysell shots on the roster.

So let’s take Zacha and Coyle first.

Do we think they they went from 59 and 60 point guys last year to being in pace for 32 and 19 points because they got that much worse or because the winger group around them lost DeBrusk, Heinen and JVR and replaced them with no one, Johnson, and Brazeau?

You might hold that no one, Johnson and Brazeau are just as good and it’s all on the centers. I can’t prove it either way. If you don’t, I don’t think it’s a leap to think that Lindholm being on pace for 40 instead of 60 points is out of line.

Look, it’s not an elite C group. But to me it’s 3 middle six centers that would be performing a lot better if the team didn’t have an unqualified UFA 4th liner at 1LW, a guy that was on an AHL (not even an NHL!) contract this time last year at 2RW and a cooked PTO guy at 3RW.

I think Coyle fell off a cliff because he's a soft millennial that likes the celebrity status of being a local guy on the team and didn't work out in the summer. Had a kid doesn't care anymore and just going through the motions.

Sweeney is pathetic for not having the balls to trade him Neely too Sinden would never let a player pull that crap.

Agree on Wotherspoon, but that UFA status and the fact that the Bruins had 9 guys play at least 35 games last year gets you a little nervous. Guess it depends on how you feel about Regula, which I can’t say I am qualified to have an opinion on. It can be a big downgrade on Carlo if that means a big upgrade on Frederic, but I’d prefer closer to a 6D than a 7D.
