What have Sweeney and Gold done? Cap has been a mess for three years now.

8 of Sweeney’s 9 years they’ve won 1 playoff round or less.

Idk who is better, I don’t know what the GM market is like but it’s not as if this team has had resounding success either.

He wouldn’t be hard to replace. Also for all that Evan Gold is cracked up to be a cap genius he’s absolutely sucked at it for the past few years. This roster is in shambles with some bad contracts.
The core is rotten and weak minded. Can't wait to see these jellyfish play in front of all those great Bruins on Sunday.

This team is a bunch of frauds starting with no show 88, send him to the Rangers perfect city for him.

They want to make a big move, there you go.

Hey lindholm, won a key face off late in the game, oh crap I am wrong, he lost it. Hey, 8 mil just doesn't get you what it use to.
He could be better but they all need some time with their linemates. That will help. I don’t see any kind of chemistry.

Changes need to be made , big ones, not some minor league deal involving McLaughlin, but some of the core, Coyle, Carlo, Frederic etc.
Any trade made at present is a panic move. Wait a couple of months if they are not in a playoff position, become sellers big time. What I DO NOT want to see is Management trading away the future just to try and get in the playoffs

I'm not disagreeing, but moreso wondering is that Gold's fault? My understanding is he does what he can to make the cap work with what Sweeney gives him, or am I off the mark?

Oh I 100% agree it’s mostly Sweeney. I was more speaking to the persons comment who says to fire Neely and move forward with Sweeney/Gold. It’s mostly if not all on Sweeney/Neely no doubt. I’m just not sure what Evan Gold has done the past few years that help instill any confidence in moving forward with Sweeney/Gold either.

For instance was it Golds cap suggestion to defer the krejci/bergeron money that resulted in us not being able to give Swayman a bridge deal? Because that was a massive mistake.

We have a lot of bad contracts on this team right now.

Also Bruins are LAST in the league in goals scored per game. They need a complete overhaul offensively

I don’t think Charlie cleans house. Maybe a partial move. That’s where I was coming from. You’ve heard Dom talk about disagreements between the two. Gold has been there to learn from Sweeney.

How much more time getting close to 1/3 rd of the season. This guy was brought in for 1st line duty, fail, PP fail, face offs fail, cap hit immense. I agree everyone should be available for the right deal, but too many posters have blinders on, " trade Carlo, Freddy, Coyle " same names all the time, time for a good solid look at others also. I not to just, blame certain players, but as a team when you have Geekie, on the first line, you have a problem, and I do think he is better, Brazeau, is at best a third liner, and maybe not a NHLer . Tyler Johnson come on get real. Freddy can be traded what are you going to get back ? This team needs a shakeup, top to bottom on the roster, and at the top in management. May Donnie and Cam former players in this town, who have first hand experience, should have a heart to heart with Elias, and let him know he might want consider waiving his NTC, because it could get ugly.

What future ? Loheri, that's it.

This isn’t close to true, it’s just what you’ve been wanting for years.

You’ve said multiple times in the past that chiarelli got fired for missing the playoffs and that is the standard around here.

Why is that different now?

No disrespect to dom but I don’t tune in to his podcasts or anything

Monty didn’t keep guys together more than one shift. We’re going to have to see this through with Sacco. It’s still the same players. That’s the only thing I can think of. A trade for a player isn’t going to move the goal posts. They need to focus on defense and win games 2-1 etc. there is no fix right now. We. An bash players left and right. This is what they are. We’re going to have to wait till the TD and offseason.

Sweeney has constructed the worst offense in the NHL right now. Has numerous terrible contracts and the team is on pace for 82 points it’s worse since before chiarelli.

But apparently to the Sweeney can do no wrong crowd, his job is safe!
Not at all. They went for it on Monty’s first year. They choked. Now your seeing the consequences. He did his job that year and now they will have to pay the price. He gone for it a few times and the players choked. I don’t have a problem firing Sweeney. All I’m saying is who out there can do the job. For all I care, both can go.

No. Chiarelli and Neely had a power struggle over who had final say. When Chiarelli missed the playoffs and the roster was in disarray, Neely could fire him.

The roster is in disarray right now.

-Worst offense in the NHL by goals per game.
- 82 point pace which would be significantly worse than any chiarelli season
-multiple terrible long term contracts brining players into their mid 30s.

Sweeney is on pace for a worse season than Chiarelli ever had here and with worse contracts.

If it’s a “power struggle” then this team is being mismanaged from the highest parts of the front office.

It should always be about performance and not power struggle at the top.

And the teams best players are the ones playing the worst against expectations.

All of that can be true without the GM getting fired for the first playoff miss in almost a decade.

The best players are having their worst years because the players Sweeney put around them are the worst since pre-chiarelli.

You sat here all summer mocking people for saying the forward group was an issue. Now the bruins are last in goals per game.

It truly is amazing that you are the first person to open their mouth and say coaches have a shelf life. Yet when it comes the shelf life of GMs you avoid it like a plague. Insane how much you contradict yourself

I guess what your asking for is for them to call the rebuild. Big move.

So you’ve been very open about how chiarelli deserves to be fired after missing his first playoff. Now when it’s Sweeney you change your tune.

Master of contradicting yourself. It’s hilarious to watch

I don’t even have to say it. They are already on pace for it 82 points and the Lindholm/zadorov contracts only get worse with their age. Marchand getting older. No top 6 centers in the pipeline. Their beat up and coming D in Lohrei can’t play a lick of defense.

That’s not at all what I said or what happened. You’re completely misrepresenting me again.

You can say that you want Sweeney fired all you want, but positioning it as a foregone conclusion if they miss the playoffs is silly,
