The dislike is odd. IMO I see a good player. One that could break out.
Geekie pretty good player and very physical

Surprised people don’t like him but Lonnie could just like soft players

Plenty of players I like on that team. Zibanejad, Trouba, etc but one player on that team is a perfect fit and that’s Kreider.
Love Kreider

Maybe last NHL star to play public school HS

I believe he’d love it here

He didn’t play a lot of hockey at a young age so not a lot of miles on 33 years old body

Kreider- Zacha- Braz

Very good

Donny let’s go .!!!!!

Geekie is an interesting player because of his contract. If he gives you what you got last year, he’s a valuable asset.

If you are looking to extend him how much does that contract come in at? At 26 years old he certainly could grow and be more productive, on the flip side this might be what he is.

Tough to get a read on his production individually as the whole team has been down almost entirely across the board.

He’s been good as of late though, hope it continues

I like this Kreider, Zacha, Braz line idea. Geekie, on the other hand, just plain sucks. I don’t see much physicality and isn’t he like -10? I just don’t care for his game. Too many guys that are just filling a roster spot. He’s no better than MvLaughlin.

He has rocked players infront of us - he’s physical

I like him I think he gets hot

I hope you’re right but I’m just not seeing it. I had hopes of another Cameron Mann, Michael Grosek or Brad Isbister but I’m just not seeing any of them in his game.

Is Kreider a reality for 2024?

Just heard Trouba was traded to the Ducks
Vaak headed the other way.
NYR get a huge cap relief, no money was retained.

Yup!
Heard they are hard after Brady T

I’d rather they make a play for Brock Nelson. Same age, plays center, a UFA after this season so no long term commitment. 10G 7A in 27 games this season.

Kreider signed for 3 more years AFTER this season at 6.5m per. Kreider a Bruin to age 38? Pass.

Marchand Lindholm Pastrnak
Zacha Nelson Brazeau
Frederic Coyle Geekie

I would *love* Brock Nelson in a bruins uniform

Marco Rossi is also an interesting name out of Minnesota...especially with some rumblings they are going to go for Nelson

Whether or not he would be included (they don't have their 1st) he seems like someone that might have another gear to his game...unless he is a beneficiary of Kaprizov

Yup. He’d slot in perfectly. And slot the rest of the centre group in to spots they should actually be and not over their heads

Discussing here:

Come on down, Jack Studnicka.
The hype on Studnicka reminds me of another fan prospect prospect.

Lysell on year 3 of AHL career. He’s at half point per game this season.

Poitras on GAME 8 in the AHL. 5 assists. Not exactly tearing it up, but not 3 seasons worth of AHL data to analyze.

With any luck they both step up soon. I’d put my money on Poitras having a better career if I were forced to choose between the two. Neither has been impressive this season.
Matt has to work it out. I believe he will.

Lysell thus far has been, at best, a disappointment.

I would, but that’s only because I have even less faith in our drafting
Charmin soft turd in the 🚽💩 🪠👀

If the Bruins can give Brown, McLaughlin, Merkulov, and Viel a few games at the NHL level, why not Lysell? Why not look at his recent play?

Maybe I'm wrong about him.

Freely admit I may be.

But according to old hockey hands who watch him on a regular basis, I don't think so.

This team has played about as poorly as it can and still finds itself firmly in the second tier of teams in our conference. It’s the perfect type of team that could see things come together and push itself toward the fringe of the first tier. The nice part is that, while other teams have games in hand, none have run away with the standings.

Currently, we have a points percentage of .554. The Rangers are at .563, and the Lightning sit at .583. The Flyers are also in this mix at .519. The top-tier teams include Washington, clearly in first place at .720, followed by four teams with points percentages between .630 and .680: Toronto, Carolina, New Jersey, and Florida. Outside of Washington, the gap to the top tier is manageable this early in the season, even with our underwhelming start.

The bonus is that the team is clearly improving under the new coach. By the midway point, we could easily climb a couple of spots in the standings. Of course, there’s always the chance they revert to the consistently awful play we saw under Montgomery, but I’m betting on the improved form continuing. If it does, this could turn into a fun year yet!
They will not revert.

For the simple reason that Jim Montgomery is no longer their head coach.

Period.

They may blow for other reasons, I grant.

Charlie Coyle played for Weymouth in the Super 8 in 2007. Is a year younger than Kreider. Might be Coyle?
