Hell baby
Yesterday, Sweeney told Renaud Lavoie that they would be looking to strength down the middle and a depth defenseman next week.. he didn't talk about a winger.

So probably Lindholm and someone like Edmundson or Hakanpaa
Hakanpaa would make me happy, he hits everything

Tampa Bay clearing out some serious cap space. They will re-sign Hedman, but will they also bring back Stamkos or are they gunning for Guentzel?

Zacha had more pts in each of his seasons in Boston than DeBrusk ever managed. But if it's just question of style then I guess go find some kid who you think looks like DeBrusk.

I'm more concerned about replacing DeBrusk's goals in the playoffs and Zacha doesn't do that. Maybe when he is relieved of C duties he can find the net more but as of right now he doesn't show up in playoff hockey.

16 M on EL & Sway

Where do they spend other 5 M
I would say 15 million on Lindholm & Sway (7.5 each)
5 million for Zadorov so 20 total between them three

Send Brown and Bussi down and you are back to 19 contracts

Gives you like 4-5 million to round out the rest of your forward group

Duhaime, Heinen (if he comes back cheap), Vrana

Gotta dip into the reclamation path that Florida did as well. Those guys are out there, just gotta find them

Another trade:Bolts also moved Tanner Jeannot to #LAKings.

Jeannot was acquired in Tampa for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and Cal Foote in 2023.
So in the end they gave up a extra 3 and 5. Used the 1st to try Jeannot. Not crazy in the end

I have no doubt Stamkos can do all of that. Laine too.

The overall fit I don't really know. I know I take either guy over everyone's darling Elias Lindholm. We don't know what Stamkos is looking for. I wouldn't rule out him or Laine just because of where Pastrnak plays on the PP.
For me the tipping of the scale for Laine over Stamkos really comes down to:

1. 2 Year contract vs. 4-5 year.
2. Age.
3. Something to prove vs. has done it all already.
4. 5 on 5 goal-scoring.

Laine put up 22 goals in 55 Games and only 8 were PPG. The year before, 26 goals and only 5 on the PP.

That's the exact type of scoring the Bruins need to add.

Sway 4x6 M per

Love him but not ready for 8 M
I'd be elated if the combined goalie tandem cost is under $10,000,000 this year.

I'd love to see the Bruins take a flyer on Laine.

Problem with Laine is I don't think the Bruins have a assets to legitimately chase him if CBJ want a hockey trade.

So is the thread to check for all the trades going down? I am trying to organize my apartment (and failing) but want to stay informed. Thanks!

I think that’s it - I love Swayman as much as anyone but I’m not going 8x8

Fair enough. I think they do have some assets Columbus would covet in the system and even on the current 3rd / 4th line. I'd even move next years' 1st if it was for Laine at $5,000,000 or less.
