Pieniniemi is still over a PPG. Kangas seems to be doing OK in SM-Liiga. 5 assists in 20 games. He wasn’t in the lineup much earlier in the year but for a late pick and a rookie he seems to be progressing. Editing to update his games played and to add he’s one of very few players to be even or better +/- wise on HPK.

They’re both returning players to team Finland. Could even be paired together.

Looks like I was right about Ortiz , just signed a PTO with WBS. Lee and Lindgren also recalled..big test for Wheeling to keep playing well with half their top 6 now gone at the moment.

I would appear Ilyin's KHL team sent him to the MHL. Been there 2 games, 4 assists.

We talk about future NHL roster players but tend to only talk about those in WBS. Still think this is a kid who could come over and do well here. Maybe put him on Pono's wing.

The only player tonight who looked head-and-shoulders above his teammates is already 26 and isn't signed to the big squad.

He had a PS goal in the first, but aside from that the entire team was flat for two full periods, getting like 10 shots to Charlotte's 30.

The WBS announcer even used the term "dire" to describe their play in the second.

Really, they had four outstanding minutes early in the third, and were heavily outplayed the entire rest of the game.
