This is a really rough assessment from what I could grab. It doesn't take into account PPG or scratches. So for example, Tony D would obviously have been on ice for more goals had he played more. Still, pretty striking that Staal and Pionk are around 40% and Pionk has even been scratched a few times.

Pionk - 42%
Staal - 37.5
Skjei - 33%
Smith - 22%
Shattenkirk - 22%
Tony D- 14%
Claesson - 7%

This is fine. Tank is back on. We're not going to win a Chinese finger trap at a store closing final bash out of a chuckee cheese with Staal in the line up. If we're going to lose, I'd rather lose in a way that makes Quinn eat his mistakes and learn from it. Don't play an injured player forcefully twice resulting in two nonoccurence of a nagging injury. Don't scratch one of your best defenseman because Lindy Ruff was told by Alain Vigneault that ADA is not very good.

Yeah there is still a lot of work to be done, we still need to find some top talent in the draft, FA, or via trade and what not. It is good to see them playing with effort most games though and when talent does get here, it'll go a long way if they don't bust

It really doesn't. You coulda played really well on a play and the other players on the ice **** the bed but that doesn't matter you still get a -1. What about when a goalie lets in a super soft one? Its too general and too stupid of a stat to be used nowdays
