Namestnikov is the epitome of meh. He's Fast 2.0. Decent at most things, offensively useless. Putting them both with our best centre is... strange.
You make a good point about transparency and media but I think I posted yesterday that his third period might be cause for a timeout in the Quinn bin.Stuck finding a reason because of the lack of the transparency by the coach and lack of balls by the media
Staal-Pionk are each -1I feel like every goal scored against this team is with Staal and Pionk on
NYR has pretty clearly outplayed WSH this game.
If only we had someone like DeAngeloThey're holding their own but I'd like to see the passion level kick up a few notches
and is that on the internet?
Staal-Pionk are each -1
Claesson-Shattenkirk are -2

I haven't liked any of Georgi's positioning. He's making himself look small.
Namestnikov is a mediocre player with really lackluster production who somehow has a lot of defenders on these boards. How was that not a hit from behind by Ovechkin on Namestnikov. How??? Directly leads to the goal.
Also Namestnikov has sucked overall.
Yes plus-minus is still a good hockey stat in the year 2018Staal-Pionk are each -1
Claesson-Shattenkirk are -2
Claesson or Staal should be the two at the bottom of the depth chart. Skjei, Pionk, ADA should be automatics unless catastrophe. Smith and Shattenkirk are judged on their games and if someone has to be scratched, it should be Claesson and Staal rotating.
Didn't we move on from +/- like a billion years ago? It's completely irrelevant.
Do you happen to have the next closest defenseman on the team? He's been on for nearly 40% of goals this year, so it's not that far off.
It's strange to me that Staal is the only blueliner to not have been scratched.
