Friedman said in the Arizona segment he thinks it's less likely Bjudgstad and Kerfoot move than he initially thought.
I think they are different types of mistakes. RyJo was boom or bust... he's shown a very high level of play prior and was a season removed from a good season. His floor was what we are seeing now... a disaster. Kerfoot is low risk, with low reward. You know he's not capable of the role, but you also know he's serviceable for a 3C role... if you don't have Cup ambitions.Kerfoot would be the RyJo mistake part II.
Similar term and AAV too.
So my thought(s) on how this is likely to play out:
I don't believe we're acquiring a legit 2C at the deadline. At least no one that actually solves the problem for the next few years. I think they go and get another "bandaid" solution and attempt to go all-in on Landeskog returning and Nichushkin keeping his head on straight.
Their belief will lie in that they have to get RyJo out of the lineup. So if they bring in someone like Kerfoot (barf) or Henrique, or Wennberg, they're going to be looking at it in the sense of "Well we're replacing RyJo's production in the lineup" and it'll be Colton/new acquisition playing the 2C and 3C roles (swapping as needed). Really it's going to be all about getting RyJo out of the lineup.
Hitting the pipe early today, huh?Eriksson Ek would be cool.
If the Wild are not moving Fleury, they sure as hell aren't moving EkEriksson Ek would be cool.
"something big" "not on other peoples radar"
Is there a more under the radar player than Sidney Crosby?
He's a lifer

Seriously though, in not going to be stunned when we do absolutely nothing.
-to the Toews deal being 'ugly'Yes, they absolutely are.
The fire cMac thread probably should have went up last summer after he left the team out to dry, now he's about to do it two years in a row. Alex Kerfoot? JFC.
Extending Toews to an ugly contract is even more idiotic if they don't do everything in their power to try to win immediately with him. Still having a massive hole a 2C isn't trying to win.
I don't even think Mittelstadt is putting their best foot forward in trying to contend. He's the best option out there but I'm not convinced he can hang at 2C with the Avs trying to win a cup.
Insert Wolverine holding a picture of Mackinnon meme.
The look of a broken man....
Jesus, get this man out of Pittsburgh.
Sid is having a hell of a season and is the only reason the Pens were relevant that long this season. But it really hurts to see such a performance wasted.....
