Both Zucc and Hayes are UFAs at the end of the season. Gorton won't let them walk for nothing. They are gone come deadline.

We can’t view wings the way relief pitchers were viewed in MLB — as failed starters.

Chytil played wing almost exclusively before being drafted. But somehow he's a center according to many

A huge part of the rebuild mentality is creating a vaccuum and letting it fill itself.

In years past, this team never would have trusted young defensemen the way it has Pionk and ADA. They would have brought in a high priced guy from somewhere else.

They never would have given young players meaningful ice. They would have run some hasbeen out there who had nothing in the tank because he was "proven"

I firmly believe we should remain, sellers no matter what happens. The disaster IMO, would be if we became buyers. That would derail everything.

Young kids can form a chemistry, where they forget that this is supposed to big and overwhelming and they just listen to their coach and play. The way you burst that fantastic bubble is by reminding them that ultimately this is a business and trade away guys who mean a lot to the core.

After Chytil's goal, him and Lias were on the bench and Lias mock burns himself on Chytil's stick. Indicting how hot/on fire he is. It was awesome and a peek into how much of a team this group is becoming.

F the tank. Let the team decide where it lands and let them learn to win. Hayes, Zuc,Smith and Staal should be shopped and take your picks and continue to rebuild. Getting Hughes would be awesome but the oilers haven't recovered from their tank, the Sabres the same until recently, nothing is a guarantee so just continue to teach this team to play the right way and work hard every shift.

Kreider and Mika should be part of this rebuild and should not be traded. They are 2nd in the division and think they are getting better and better. I do see Zucc and Hayes moving and with their cap hits can go after Panarin.

What a sweet victory! So gratifying! I'm thankful (see what I did there?) for this New York Ranger team. They work hard, never seem out of games, and are simply fun to watch! The youth is being well served and the coach is pressing all the right buttons. And listen. They may not make the playoffs. They may (probably) sell off at the deadline and that's ok. But for right now life is pretty damn good.

Kudos to @eco's bones for being the only poster here who picked ADA in tonight’s poll. I wanted to as well, but I decided on Georgy/Chytil/Shatty instead..

He should have more votes, imo. But it’s tough to do so when so many other players played a great game tonight.

The kid makes those smart little plays decisively. I don’t think anyone on this team has his vision. He made some really well timed defensive plays too.

He’s been awesome. I REALLY like having not only 1, but 3 RHD that can move puck and create plays from the blue line. Brings an element to this team that’s unique.

When Ada is under pressure he generally makes tape to tape passes right to his teammates to start the rush.

When pionk is under pressure he bangs it up and out. That's the major difference between the 2.

It's like Anton stralman vs San girardi 2.0

I watched the game on tape delay.

Kreider is playing some really good hockey, it's what we all hoped he can be.

The right side of the defense had a very good game tonight. Shatty and Claesson look like a good pairing.

Namestikov reminds me of Nemchinov. They just play that same quiet workmanlike style. I think they even look similar carrying the puck. I hope it's not a lazy Russian to Russian comparison, it's not meant as one.

It seems like many on this team are improving bit by bit as the season progresses, the benched players, Shatty (injury) etc. etc. Is it permanent? I don't know. I can tell you it is really encouraging to see.

If you've got no other play, you've got no other play. The limitations put on a player by their skill set are going to give them different options. Are the forwards giving P the same outlet support? If he's got pass options and goes wall anyway, which I doubt, then it's a problem. But you can't compare what two guys do in a scenario unless it's actually a similar scenario.

I think Sather and Gorton took Hank, Staal, Zbad, Hayes, Kreider and Jesper.......sat them down and all proceeded to watch the renovation of MSG......this is how you rebuild, and hopefully it wont take as long as this. It can be painful and you will lose some friends, but in the end it will all be worth it.
