Rumor: 2026 Trade Rumors and Free Agency: Offseason Edition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I think Svechkov can do well here. L'Heureux... we'll see if he's coachable - if he is I think he'll be a better version of NAK.

I don't hate it. Two guys that can play in the bottom 6 (theoretically) for one player. Don't love giving them a pick but whatever.

So the Avs had to put in a third rounder to cap dump Drury?

The man has no contract he didn't need to be dumped.

Don't tell me those random names from Nashville have any value. Don't give me hope.

Well they needed cheap replacements in the bottom six for Colton and Drury. They just got them.

Both signed through the next two seasons.

Trying to see how this helps...assuming Drury gets 3.5-4? So, like 2 mil or so savings? Preds will be annoying against us to be sure.

There's going to be a big battle to fill out that bottom nine. If we can even just get 2 or 3 of Brindley, Hughes, Ivan, L'Heureux and Svechkov to pan out we will be in great shape.

So now something like:

Lehky - Mack - Necas
Landy - Nelson - Nuke*
Roy - Kadri - L'Heroux
LOC - Svechkov - Kelly

With Hughes/Brindley still waiting around. Maybe still a Nuke trade and then Brindley jumps into his spot somewhere in the Top 9.

If they trade Nuke, the depth will certainly take a hit from where it was in the playoffs for us, but I would argue we're still deeper then we started last season at that point.
