Rumor: 2026 Trade Rumors and Free Agency: Offseason Edition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
They would probably have to include Lundell, which they apparently are very reluctant to do.

For the best goaltender in the league? Lundell first bus to Winnipeg. Easy decision really. Panthers are missing one thing, a great goaltender and some extra space for a defenseman at the trade deadline. Otherwise it's rock solid.

I think Lundell was a sales speech.

At the time of the trade, had Cmac traded Byram for DRAFT PICKS (even super high ones) he would have been completely ridiculed on this very board with our need for a #2C.

Buffalo did a good job to bring him along over the years and then find a massive schmuck to maximize his value.

Good for Buffalo for getting that done - meanwhile they've been doing that stuff, we've been trying to win in the playoffs. You usually can't have it both ways.
Also wholeheartedly agree with this

We needed a 2C to compete for the Cup, and things were looking marginally okay until Nuke snorted us out of the Dallas series. I think we beat Edmonton that year if we had gotten past Dallas, and that's saying something considering we had 4giev in net

We took a good shot, maybe not the best possible shot
