Tampa dealing Raddysh within the division for just a 5th tells me not many teams were willing to anti up the price, unless Kucherov was part of the deal.So Carlson probably going to Tampa now is my guess
I'm sure Vegas can make it work. Can we fit tuch and andersson without trading anyone?
That would improve this team huge and return fire what the leafs did today .I'm sure Vegas can make it work.
Teams might be able to digest it short term ,but its still a bit much for a guy turning 37 in January. He had a decent regular season with the Ducks notching 14 G 60 pts, but those 12 playoff games were a bit hard on him vs the other teams better lines. He finished a -5 with 6 assists in 12 games .I guess it helps over 82 games(u have to make playoffs) but I am on the fence..
I am more concerned on building a team to contend with Montreal longterm. They have alot of skill now with more coming sadlyThat would improve this team huge and return fire what the leafs did today .
Just as long as they all suck in 2028!So, for next season, the Leafs will have a veteran Dcore.
Maybe not great for the future, but pretty solid for next season.
So you are in the rebuilding mode.
I see McAvoy playing harder mins with Boston then Carlson but yea you are right with Peeke comparison..Far as salary for me,The 10, or 11 million + guys are the Hughes Makar type guys. But hey, maybe I am misjudging the market .Been wrong b4So Carlson basically had the same season as McAvoy.
You call it a decent regular season, post above says McAvoy had a career year. As many others have said. So, which is it?
Anyway, I would think the Bruins would be a much better team with Carlson as their 2nd pair ride side than with Peeke, Joker or Lohrei.
That's my take though
And he’s two-way enough to play on the PK while also adding more offensively. With him replacing Peeke and Brunet replacing Aspirot, this team would look completely different on exits and in the offensive zone.So Carlson basically had the same season as McAvoy.

Donny did a masterclass rebuild getting Minten Hagens Leternaeu Simpson Zellers Marat . The future looks bright .I am more concerned on building a team to contend with Montreal longterm. They have alot of skill now with more coming sadly
Check back in 3 yearsDonny did a masterclass rebuild getting Minten Hagens Leternaeu Simpson Zellers Marat . The future looks bright .
Donny smashed that trade deadline last year and don't forget all those first round picks he has in his sleeve. Donny now is gonna bring some power upfront and back watch and see. He's the man.Check back in 3 years
Looking good but need to find some defense and the jury is basically still out on all those guys, although it looks very promising.
Then why don’t big name players want to come here any more?
Among the players who are asking for trades, why are the bruins never showing up on lists players would waive to?
Bruins have an owner who spends to the cap, a great area to live and raise a family, but in 11 years the top free agent signing Sweeney has is Elias Lindholm?
Donny gonna do more then that bank on it. Ep40 tuch trouba carlson Rasmus McTavish something in that order.Sign Carlsson.
Sign McMann or Arvidsson or Tuch
Promote Brunet.
Promote Poitras.
Draft a RHD.
Let Hagens play center, use Lindholm on the wing to help ease the transition.
Keep Lohrei, Poitras, and the rest of the young core intact.
I'd be perfectly happy if that was the entire offseason.
Wow, Donnie boy the hurricanes did wellI see a tornadomixed with a hurricane
here.
I wouldn't really know, nobody would. All we can do is speculate. Money? Maybe the Bruins are stingy on years than other clubs? Better opportunities/relationships free agents have with other teams? Bruins have signed their fair share of free agents over recent years. Maybe they're targeting the wrong ones. But let's not fool eras here, the mid 2000's Bruins was not a prestige place to play and a lot of NHL players had resentments towards management for the salary cap. Flash forward to today and there's a recent history of being competitive, spending, and having the reputation of treating players with respect. That did start with Chia but it also continued with Sweeney.
They do 2026,27,28 and 29....How can they do that when they dont have 4 1st rounders?? I thought you had to had the picks and they had to be yours
Players aren’t even putting Boston on their list of teams they want to be traded to.
Chiarelli was pulling in savard, chara, iginla, Horton, Recchi etc
Sweeney in an even longer tenure has Elias and Hampus lindholm.
Owner is still spending to the cap limit. Maybe it’s a change in philosophy of guys they signed.
But regardless Sweeney has turned this team into a destination that players aren’t even including on trade lists

Sadly the past is the past. These young kids are about opportunity(not a Bruin strongpoint) and then dollars( young kids nope but if you are in the edge of going over the hill then they will overpay) 14k at TD for an original six means nothing. Don’t get me wrong it is a great sound bite but that piece of the asset puzzle left the yard years ago.Well yes it’s been a big free agent destination in the past. It just isn’t now because players don’t consider us a contender when you have a GM who has 7 playoff series wins in 11 seasons
Yeah, you know all the players who have trade protections in their contracts that do or dont have Boston on them? Impressive.
And were Horton, Recchi etc come here via trades because they wanted to come to Boston and worked their way here, like Taylor Hall? Or where they just normal trades?
